I would hope a task from a crafting or gathering guild wouldnt require you to kill something. That would be stupid. This does not say "when turned in"...it says "at time of completion". This could very well mean that whatever class you are when you finishing stabbing the 8th Dodo gets the SP. Anything else doesn't make sense to me. Why would the game let me run around as an r41 lancer and let me use that to rank up my r15 alchemist...?
I'm guessing it's likely to be 3, but I'm hoping it will be 19.
Overall though kinda sad to see people squabbling about something this petty.
Obstacle, not a barrier.
Which only serves to tell you where these quests can be obtained. As Mack noted above, they separated Adventurers' Guilds from Eorzea's guilds, most likely for a reason. And as for the German translation:
roughly translates to, "By examining the notice boards in the various city-states, one can undertake the posted tasks for the various guilds."Indem man die Anschlagbretter in den Abenteurergilden der verschiedenen Stadtstaaten untersucht, kann man dort ausgeschriebene Aufgaben für die verschiedenen Gilden annehmen.
I know, I edited that post :PWhich only serves to tell you where these quests can be obtained. As Mack noted above, they separated Adventurers' Guilds from Eorzea's guilds, most likely for a reason. And as for the German translation:

Why is everyone saying 19? Do you really think there are going to be guild tasks for shield skill?

I think we should all stop arguing about something we will know for sure in 2 hours....
