    Some thoughts on how to fix a number of dumb, avoidable issues (FATEs, Dungeons)

    I have an easy solution to knock out several problems;

    1. Remove experience gained from "trash" in FATEs. This will get rid of the harassment of players from finishing FATEs like Dark Devices.

    2. Make FATE targets unkillable if they are not within the range of the FATE itself. This fixes the de-syncing issue where higher levels sometimes can't contribute.

    3. Prioritize bosses and monsters and players in your party/alliance over everyone else. This fixes the blinking issues.

    4. Reward only 20% of the total experience of proper levels to lower levels. This discourages power-leveling using higher level areas.

    5. Give healers contribution based on how much health they heal and give bonus for reviving within the FATE circle but don't give any for overheals (Heal 400 points of damage, 160 is overhealing. Get points for 240). This fixes the healing problem in FATEs.

    6. Give tanks bonus contribution based on their total enmity generation on FATE targets. Sure you can flash spam but your MP pool is limited and its not worth much. With your full range of enmity generation abilities, even when throttling yourself as a PLD or WAR you generate a massive amount, even more than Flash ever could. This allows tanks to contribute to killing a target or actually tanking it. The most notable bosses, Odin, Behemoth can still be tanked properly because the community in general is good about selecting "main tanks" for these guys.

    7. Increase the value of rewards and experience for completing dungeons; Add Bronze and Gold pieces to loot tables, add seals (Low amount) to the completion rewards and increase experience. Give a 30% "mentor" experience buff to players higher level than the dungeon if they have to sync and at least one person is of the appropriate level. This gives incentives to run dungeons, makes helping friends more worthwhile and adds a new gil fountain to the game. I feel we already have really nice gil sinks with the teleport costs, market fees, etc.

    8. Make the current method of speedrunning not worth a player's time. Force monsters in dungeons to attack their closest target if an action hasn't been used on them for 5 seconds but remain on the threat table or conversely you can just give the boss ahead a large damage buff if X amount of enemies in the area before the encounter haven't been killed, not all of them, just enough to make dodging a few mobs (Stragglers/patrols that can actually be avoided) viable. Right now there is a lot of incentive to run dungeons like Keep quickly and efficiently but because Keep can be run without ever killing a single monster there is an overwhelming amount of harassment going on. Parties are being held hostage, players are being publicly ridiculed and harassed if they can't or don't want to speedrun the dungeon.

    Jesus christ. This post limit is annoying.

    you can edit your fist post you know? however:
    -not sure where is the issue: low-levels have an hard time gaining contribution in a highert level fate. Higher players can't touch fate mobs without synching
    -look upper. Also, work as intended
    - yes please
    -look again first response. Lower levels get low contribution if level too low
    -healers (and tank, and everyone else) get contribution based on how much enmity they generate. This count healings as well
    -look upper again: contribution based on enmity
    -can be done, but i don't feel dungeons so low on exp
    -lolspeed run it's only feasible in amdapor. We'll see if they make it so they can't skip adds
