.. The one who gets the Highest roll?..
LOL lay off the caffiene. Ya when you have 2 people that say need, whoever gets the highest roll number gets it.
does a need always beat a greed?? - i have been meaning to ask this question and then found this thread!
Yes, Need>Greed>Pass and if two people or more select Need each player gets a random roll with the highest roll winning. If there is no one selecting Need then each player gets a random roll for Greed.
Jar Jar: "Mesa speak."
Qui-Gon: "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."
I am getting really annoyed with some people in the dungeons. We just finished a dungeon and my friend is a tank class. We have me as ARC, a CNJ, and a TMG in our group. Everytime anything dropped for a tank class.. both of the other guys need/greed for it, and got it every single time. My tank friend got nothing through the whole dungeon, while the magic classes steal up all the tank gear.
Not possible. If a tank piece drops, as a class that can't use it, i can't roll anything other than greed or pass. There is no way i can roll anything other than greed or pass. ARC, CNJ an TMG can't roll need on those. If it's just something the tank "feels" he should get, then that's his problem, or if he's hitting greed by mistake. If more than one can hit need though, it's up to the dice. I've gone five dungeon runs where i only saw tank gear drop and never got a thing, and the tank got three things to drop and won each. it's luck of the random numbers.
If it's a Shield, the THM/CNJ can Roll a Need on it too depending upon Stats of the Shield. Not possible. If it's a DoW gear (not MRD/WAR/GLD/PLD Exclusive) then it's gonna be any DoW (LNC, PUG, ARC, MRD, GLD) can roll Need on it.
If it's an 'All Classes' gear, all classes can roll GREED on it.
What I want to know is what happens if all 4 players 'Pass' on the Loot.
Half right. Any class at anytime can roll greed on anything. So even if it doesn't say "All Classes", then all classes can roll greed. And as for the other part, you are completely wrong. A tank can never roll on armor that says DoW or All classes because those are specifically mage or DPS gear. Even if it says DoW, a tank can't roll need because the stats of the gear do not fit his role. In fact, tanks can only roll need on gear that is tank exclusive. The same for a robe that give int. A CNJ can't roll need even though it says "All classes" because it is specifically for mage DPS. If a shield dropped (I'm assuming that was the case) it probably had mage stats, which is why a tank can't roll need on it (as my point earlier, it is not tank exclusive). Shields that are meant for tanks do not allow mages to even equip them.If it's a Shield, the THM/CNJ can Roll a Need on it too depending upon Stats of the Shield.
