    [dev 1032] STATUS POINT ALLOCATION

    i dont know if someone has posted the same thing but i havent seen that thread here, i just want to know any ideas of how the status point allocation should be if the physical level stays in the game.

    Im gonna try to be short in this, i like the current physical level system it makes easier to rank up classes in low levels for hardcore or experimented players, i like the idea that i can make more damage than others just because the way i have customized my character, you can use different type of gear and arrange your general status according the gear stats and you can grow your character in the way you see fit.

    My Op is that if they leave the same system just with stat point allotment memorized by the game it could work, what i mean is that if im grinding as an archer i have certain stats customized, so when i change my class to gladiator i have other customized stats, so just adding memory to the status point allotment changing all your stats automatically everytime you change class it would be better than scrapping the physical levels from the character.

    Personally I want them to remove assignments by the player and implement the Blue Mage Stat assignments from FFXI where what skills you have equipped determined your stats.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     Yeah, everyone pretty much tried to ignore you the first 100 times.


    Physical levels will be removed. Stat formulas will be redesigned. Until the formulas are done, you won't see specific allotment.

    There is no control actually, there is very little. Removing physical levels and alloting points specifically based on your class rank could prove to be better.

    If you look at the current stat formulas, there begins to be severe diminishing results after 110/120 points. With the formulas simplified, after some testing you will be able to have a more open offensive or defensive character design rather than just capping out VIT/MND and putting whatever is left into STR/DEX PIE/INT due to really.... not needing much to get the job done.

    You might think that you are "more powerful" when ranking a new class and you'd be right. However, your offensive allotment is pretty much the same in a way in your late 30's as your R50. Meaning, your soft cap at those ranks are when you start to really see those diminishing results and you should just be putting everything in VIT or MND or both at that point. The only thing left is player rank vs mob rank difference, but that is an entirely different story of imbalance.

    I like both of the ideas, but I like the customized points better.

    I like the physical levels and i like status point allocation.
    What i totally do not like is that you cannot save the setups for each class.

    If we could save 1-2 profiles for each job and if the action bar setup would be saved too then it would be perfect!
