Low framerate when looking towards certain areas (That are not visible)

    Hello,

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I most certainly am on two different computer systems. Here are my specs:

    System 1:
    Windows 8
    I7 3770K 3.5 - 3.9Ghz
    8GB 1600Mhz RAM
    GTX 760 2GB (320 Current drivers)
    500GB 7200 RPM HDD

    System 2:
    Windows 8
    I7 960 3.6Ghz
    12GB 1600Mhz RAM
    GTX 770 2GB (326 Beta drivers)
    128GB SSD
    500GB 7200RPM HDD

    Settings tested: Maximum and High

First off, I do understand that framerate will drop when there are a large number of people or things going on at once, that's just the way it is and that is totally understandable. However, This framerate drop occurs even when looking in the directions of high activity even when I am inside, and even when the high activity is NOT visible to my character. Such as when I am behind a wall, or behind a hill at a very long distance from the area of high activity.

    The issue I am seeing:

When facing certain areas in game the Framerate will drop from 60 FPS (Where it is locked) down to 20 - 25 FPS. This typically happens when looking in the direction where a lot of players will be congregating. For instance:

-When looking towards a Large Aetherite crystal.(Where people are congregating)
    -When looking towards a FATE.
-When looking towards a quest hub.

When I am in the midst of all this activity, right smack dab in the middle of all the players my framerate is fine 50 - 60 FPS.

But when I am looking towards these areas from far away, even when I am indoors just looking IN the direction of the high activity areas causes a drop in framerate.

I suspect assets are being rendered even when the assets in question are not visible.

I hope this was clear! And I encourage other players to come forward with this experience if they are seeing the same thing.

This is very possible. Batman: Arkham City has the same exact problems in it's DX 11 renderer and I suspect that this is what causes it. It's possible FF14's DX9 renderer could be suffering the same thing. But only Square can tell because you'd need to collect data from all affected.
