An idea occurred to me...
How cool would it be to have some community project or mini-game on each server
Like a neverending community garden in in each City-state
All could come and contribute to the garden by buying seeds from an NPC... but to be fruitful, the garden takes A TON of work....
Size and Location
*Physically, the garden would have to be pretty big, perhaps slightly bigger than the adventurers guild
*At a central location for everyone to see... like the center of towns or even in the hamlets?!?!?!?!?!
How the Garden works
*Planting in the garden requires botany. Bigger better flowers are only planted by higher ranked botanist.
*Players have to actually tend the garden to make the plants sprout, grow and blossom...
Higher rank botanists make the plants grow bigger and more fruitful
More botanists tending the garden makes the plants sprout, grow and blossom faster
*Award Botany skill points for working in the garden but put in a cap on how much one player can do in the garden per reset
*Make the amount of time needed to have a flourishing garden be insanely large. That will mean many players are needed to have a fruitful garden
Harvest
*Have the garden NPC sell the fruits of the garden to players... Things like blood currants, Gridanian walnuts, etc....
*New culinary produce could even be created specifically for this purpose...
*Possibly even some alchemical ingredients and spices could be bought from the Garden NPC once that particular type of plant has been planted, sprouted and blossomed
I can't stress this enough... make it take AN EPIC AMOUNT OF WORK to make the garden great.... so the community has to really get involved.....
And lastly.. give the garden a rating... Im down to see which server can muster the best garden
this same theory could honestly be applied to some of the crafting jobs...
