Macro Information! How to chain skills!?

So what I want this to be is a thread on how we use the macro system.
Like in rift can we chain abilities under certain circumstances ?
    How would I about say.
Cast ability 3 if combo trigger is ready
Cast ability 2 if combo trigger is ready
    Cast ability 1
When you use 1 ability it puts the glowing box around the button for another if it has a bonus if used after the first ability. As in the combo bonus on certain skills.
Can we macro these together? Kind of like how they poped up in tera?
    Would be nice.

    Have 2 combo rotations
    aoe
    stun
    dot
    3 - 4 job abilities.

Ok so if I did that would be 1-5 on keybored then a alt 1-3 for job abilities, then something else for the cooldowns ( like berserk for marauders )

This way it would not mean having to click through every combo ability. Just make a macro so it uses it only if buttons lit up for combo bonus, if not goes to next skill in the list, in the macro.

No you cannot, I don't think SE will ever allow that. They did a very good job of making people think about what they are doing when using abilities. Not many people that play FF games like to smash the 1, 2 or 3 button on their keyboard all the way through dungeons.

Do you mean something like this?
Like pugilist have 3 skills: 1, 2 (only available after you use skill 1) and 3 (only available after you use skill 2)
And a skill 4 that only available when you just evaded an attack.
    My macro is like this
    /macroicon "Skill 1 name"
    /ac "skill 4" <t>
    /ac "skill 3" <t>
    /ac "skill 2" <t>
    /ac "skill 1" <t>

and I drag it to slot 1. So when I first press 1, it will activates skill 1 because the 3 skills above cant be activated. Then the 2nd time I press 1, skill 2 will be activated. And whenever I dodge an attack, the next skill I use will be skill 4.
Doing it in reverse order let you use the best skill available.
All I do in a fight is pressing 1 X_X

But wouldn't that kinda kill your damage without changing your position on the target? Flank, Rear, Front?

He meant so that he can press the same button after relocating (though he doesn't need to, as a marauder). More like a "conditional" in programming (if available, do A, otherwise B). Sadly I don't think this is possible with macros.

That said, I do understand where he's coming from, being a warrior myself. Hotbar's getting full.

This works, if only for a pugilist. Seeing the OP is a Marauder, I think it's for our combos and we can't do it with this, simply because we can still use our other abilities without chaining them (unlike pugilist's forms).

.. I meant so I could cut down on the ammount of buttons so my tiny ass little hands can reach them without having to have tons of alt1 shift1 ect... Even something. Kinda like how in tera, when a ability triggerd a combo the key changed to that combo ability. You could choose for it to do that or not. Was mainly so people wouldn't need 20 keys.
You still had to position, and choose when to you this combo ability, or to use it at all. But it also meant you could keep the hotbar skills down to 1-5 and alt1 - alt5. Kind of within the reach of your fingers.
Not saying macro everything to one button. But more to macro things in a way you could cut down on them. Like having 2 macros. Heavy swing + threat ability combo and heavy swing + dmg ability combo. with those two you use 2 spots on ur hotbar, instead of the original 3. Just saves space and keeps keys within reach =/

i dont think so. however, you could cluster all your defensive cooldowns in 1 button, all offensive cooldowns in 1 button, and for abilities like mercy stroke, you could have it under all your main attacks (heavy swing, skull sunder etc) since it is off gbc and that allows mercy stroke to take precedent over your main attacks when it becomes available. just try to be a little creative.

im also surprised you have so little keys to play around with. i have:

    1, 2, 3, 4
    q, e
    alt 1, 2, 3, 4
    alt q, w, e, r
    alt f1, f2, f3, f4
    ctrl 1, 2, 3, 4
    shft 1, 2, 3, 4

and they are all quite easy to use!
