FFXIV constantly flickering on PS3

Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated. I'm using a 40GB PS3 connected to a 32" Sony 720p TV via HDMI, connected hardwire to internet. Already tried safe mode options of ps3, including system restore. tried reinstalling game using hard copy disc and tried reinstalling again using digital download with same result.
Forgot to mention. All other games work fine, CS that that runs in main menu if you dont touch controller runs fine.

Having same issue. It's really quite irritating. Searching about the internet it seems very few of us have the problem, but it's really aggravating.

Really hope someone takes a close look at the posted video, I have the same issue. Tried redownloading the client, adjusting various settings on my TV and PS3. changed the HDMI cables, etc... Only game this occurs with is FFXIV, tested many others with no problems.

I'll let you know if I get anywhere with this, Sony wants me to send them my PS3 but I'm not sure if it's a good option because it works fine on everything else they might just send it back saying there's no issue with it and I'd be out $130. I'm not too sure if I want to buy another PS3 or trade mine because I'll lose the backwards compatibility feature or buy a 2nd PC since that'll cost me around $600 or more just to play.

Just posted this same issue before noticing your post. I can't imagine we all suddenly had our hard drives and/or GPUs crash on our PS3s. Like you, this only happens on FF XIV, no other game.
