    What happened to.....

    Skirmish, hamlets, nms(dont say fates), special leves, bahest, beastman camps(yes I know they are still in the game, but they add nothing but decor.) I'm having fun with 2.0 but what happened to all the fun things from 1.0, are they still in the game? any plans on bringing them back?

    Skirmish - Content designed lore wise to prepare people for the final confrontation with the Garleans before the 7th U.E came to fruition, it doesn't make sense to be here if you completed the storyline.
    Hamlets - Removed, they still exist but the system is dumped into FATE.
    NMs - FATEs (sorry, gotta face reality.)
    Behest - FATEs and those little Guildhest things.
    Beastmen Camps - They're just..there...and oh FATEs.

    Nm- could be added into special leves(forgot what they were called in 1.0)
    Behest- would allow for less of a zerg fest by limiting people.

    sometimes i question lore based things. skirmish was there for that you say and dosent make sense to be there if you completed it?

    well i dont think it would be hard to use them as what they could have been to start with. boss training grounds.

    the only boss we fought that i recall wasent in any other part of 1.0 in skirmish was the skipping/prancing golem

    you dont always have to follow lore logic to bring in content. sure its out of place but isent it better to bring in more to do then just revamp the current existing things over the years?

    the beastman/strongholds i think they could do more with then just touring thru it i meen beastmen currency is in the game still but nothing to do with them yet.crazy idea how about they let use our beastmen currency to buy random chests or to spawn a boss that could drop a chest with contents = to the rarer currency say u pay with gold titan piece then the boss would have drop a gold chest but the contents could still be rng

    You don't always have to follow lore but that begs the question - why even create lore to an RPG if you want to ignore it? In the current implementation of it we know of it's lore related so that style of skirmish doesn't really have a place in the current world, it just means it would have to be designed differently. The system of hamlet was always to be designed like how XI's Campaign/Besieged was but the engine they used for 1.0 couldn't handle it, so the current "Hamlet" FATEs are more along the lines of what they wanted to do with the system initially, e.g Red Belly Hive Defend/Capture FATE.

    Current the stronghold only have FATEs in them which is basically where the 'Beastmen Leaders' from 1.0 was that you had to fight for Relic back in the day. Those special leves were called Faction Leves which a lot of those are reborn as FATE NMs.

    Skirmish is coming back. It was in a live letter, and it was mentioned at E3. They are redesigning it to fit with 2.0. It will be back.
    NMs are FATES, that's it.

    Hamlets are now FATES.

    Behest are now guildhests. Really wish they kept behests as they were, those were fun, but oh well.

    Beastmen Strongholds: Changed to FATE NM areas. I'm not sure if the beast tribe mobs still drop Tapers/Feathers,etc. for entrance into the hard/extreme primal fights, but if not that's probably the reason those were changed. People would just camp natalan and...amal'ja place to kill mobs for primal entrance tokens, which you then traded to Luisoix for the entrance item. Luisoix is no more, so the entrance items are probably not dropped from those camps. OH WAIT! Entrance to the fights is done through Duty Finder, so now there are no entrance items. THEREFORE, Beastmen strongholds no longer have the same purpose they used to.
