    PS3 registration trouble

I'm posting this in behalf of my friend who is having trouble with his account. This is what he says:

I bought the FFXIV:ARR CE for PS3, and gotten the early access code from gamestop, played early access no problem. when I tried to log in post-early access period, I get the same message as everyone else was getting during the whole big maintenance period. "No Valid service accounts"

So, I go on to my mogstation account, check that i only have FFXIV early access registered, so i tried to see if there was a link on there to add my FFXIV product code given by the PS3 copy. When I clicked "Add Playstation 3 service", it shows this message :

To add the PlayStation®3 platform to this service account, you must first either purchase the digital download, or apply a registration code through the Sony Entertainment Network.
Please note that PlayStation®3 services are not accessible through this website.
Upon completing registration, the game can be installed and played as normal on your PlayStation®3.

SO i go back on my ps3, put in my redemption code there under account management... and all it does is gives me the client to redownload, and i've uninstalled and installed the client at least 5 times after different processes, still the same message comes up.

Then i remembered i might've unlinked or linked my ps3 under two different accounts, switched it back to the original one that it was originally linked with, and still get the same message.

Okay, then i started looking around the case maybe i missed something... found another Serial registration code, entered that into member.square-enix.com/na... and tried it again, same message. then i figured maybe it takes a few hours for it to actually show up onto my account... patiently waiting for the next day...

now i'm at work, and checked on the status of my account under both member.square-enix.com/na and mog-station... and nothings changed, theres no new options or links to go through..

anybody know if i'm doing anything wrong? i've uninstalled the client and re-installed it almost every single day since its been acting up.

oh right, on mogstation my characters are showing up, but under lodestone it says i have no characters.

As a PS3 version owner who has successfully registered the game, I tried troubleshooting his game and personally going through the same steps I have taken but nothing seems to be working.

Are you sure you didn't create a new service account? I had the same error when I improperly registered my game to a "new service account".

On mog station service account section, look if there is multiple tabs. If yes get back to me and i'll walk you through it.

It's not my account, it's my friends. I had him take a screenshot of his page and I can confirm there there are no multiple tabs in the Account Status green bar.

Here's a quick rundown of how I got a hold of support. The topic may not be relevant, but, relay this to him.

Thank you! And here's the screenshot of his mogstation page for further clarification:

It appears he hasn't registered his code to begin with, not duplicated like I did.

Tell him to click add windows service. Search through e-mail for all codes and find the one that fits the blanks. I think its xxxx-xxxx(5 fields) or xxxxx-xxxxx(4 fields). WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT CREATE A NEW SERVICE ACCOUNT. APPLY IT TO YOUR EXISTING. I lost my account for a week because of this.

He has, that's the odd thing about it. The way registration process works on the PS3 is as follows:
Retrieve registration code from the back of the game manual then go to PS3 XMB -> Account Settings -> Redeem Code -> enter the code -> code is registered and it takes you to the client download page -> Login normally using the downloaded client. After this step it is supposed to take you to the account setup page(the page you're referring to where you can tie or create account services) but it tells him that there are no active accounts. The code is simply not tying with his PSN account for unknown reasons.

He has done the above multiple times, as stated in the original post. I've verified this. The PS3 registration step is also not the same as Windows.

Is the PlayStation set to accept cookies? You do this though the browser on the ps3.

He can call PlayStation support too. They may have some answers.
