I would agree that the GP system in general needs to be re-worked a bit - starting with the regen rates. I don't see an issue with 'exp' chains carrying from node to node, that would certainly help. Giving us additional abilities that alter the outcome of the next gathering attempt (with smaller GP costs) would also be helpful and add some flavor to gathering.

It seems like the market is mostly going to favor HQ materials and what not with NQ being fodder for players just looking for resources to grind some crafting levels with. I think that is fine.
