Major Lag Since Patch

NY here, Time Warner Cable for internet. This has only started happening since Wednesday. Very high scores on the benchmark and can easily move camera/abilities are responsive in selection but no response for periods at a time in dungeons and then everything catches up. This makes it nearly unplayable with the frequency that it occurs. My friend who lives roughly 10 minutes away and is using the same internet just started having those issues too.

Yep. Super common issue on the forum, but SE has not given a real response yet.

Unfortunate, thanks for the heads up! Hopefully they come up with something sooner than later, but I'm not an expert in these matters so I don't know what it'll take.

Still getting the issue since the last patch. The game is unplayable for more than 5 minutes. Hoping for a response from SE soon or I'll be joining the countless other who have already jumped ship.

I'm having those problems as well. In FL with Comcast as my ISP.

I just received the game in the mail today. As someone who's played in Beta Phases 3 & 4 (on PS3; as I am now) with only minor lag issues popping up occasionally in the latter, the amount of lag I'm facing in even simple story quests is unbelievable.

I can't believe it's this bad. Which is a real shame since I love this game tremendously. These lag spikes make participating in group events such as Guildleves and FATEs nigh impossible. The only reason I can complete them is through others' efforts.

To face this in personal instances as well just makes every single task a chore. I can even run for a full minute after pressing Sprint before I actually do the sprinting.

I really hope this gets dealt with soon. I can't bear to put up with this for too long, regardless of how much I enjoy this game.

That's the unfortunate part. This game is so great and fun even in its current state (so many little things can be improved, like FC chests--and are in 2.1) but all these server issues whether its logins or massive lag is just shooting SE in the foot all over again. I completely understand people losing patience and don't blame them leaving at all. Hopefully SE can figure it out much sooner than later. I'm sorry about your troubles

Same issue here. Time warner user in Upstate NY. The lag is insane. Off peak hours everything is fine, but during peak hours things literally stop for 2-3 seconds then speed back up, and the process repeats itself constantly.

I'm in NYC, although my ISP is RCN. I've been battling with this issue since after the patch. It seems like something went haywire after they implemented it. I have been in contact with my ISP several times, and both times I've received the same information - that they are aware of the problem and that they have been receiving similar complaints from other customers. What truly surprises me is that Squeenix hasn't said one peep regarding this issue.

Sigh, I thought they had improved with communication since Phase 4 but apparently that's not the case. It seems that it's the norm for them to avoid saying anything unless it's a week or later after the problem. Looks like it's just crafting for me during peak hours for a few weeks until they finally fix this.
