titan hard (hard for high latency)

I just did the normal titan last night and holy smokes. Not wanting to attempt hard mode for quite a while. Being on the west coast of cali I'm near the farthest away from servers state side and there is VERY little room for error on this due to ping. I'm actually quite curious if guestimated distance from servers could be used as a variable on how much leeway it gives you on time for monster attacks. For instance someone rocking out with 100 extra ping gets half a second more or whatever.

Anyways. Doable but annoying in its current state. >.<

250-300 ms ping. Sometimes I get hit by the pushback without even being anywhere remotely near or even behind/side of titan.

did anyone actually beat this guy? even skilled pt's with good gear have a lot of trouble.. last phase for relic.. i'm giving it up :/

only Aoe i have a hard time dodging is titan weight of the land and i'm NA it seems like the cast time is faster than the animation unlike most target circle attacks.

i have been doing this fight for a while now and alot of it with the same people and some new poeple as well. here is what i noticed, first off i live in middle east and the ping to Montreal is around 300 yet i dont get hit with those aoes and can dodge all of them easy. but the thing is i am using battleping and if i dont use battleping it becomes impossible just like what alot of you have been saying, i thought this was just due to battleping giving me a better route until i met some guy from EU. this guy had the same problems alot of you are complaining about and he then started using battleping and used the closest server to him in EU, this basically solved all of his problems and he can dodge the aoes fine with no issue.

what am trying to say is that yes SE need to have EU data centers but i think the major problem is from the ISPs not the game itself.

This just shows that the main issue is a fight that is mainly determined by player's connection and not player's skill.

I believe Titan is not hard. The only problem is lag that most EU players have to deal with. We need an EU datacenter. That's the only solution to avoid nerfing content.
I personally don't have problems but I know my guildmates who are on the two majors ISPs from france have huge delay especially during weekends and are forced to use VPN. This is not acceptable.

Well i have defeated Titan hard a few days ago and with 60 gb fiber internet and about 100 ms to the EU/NA datacenter i can definatly say there is still some kind of delay. With instant reaction i still have to run miles away from titan's knockback/weight of the land attacks and pray to the twelve i won't get hit. Really not liking this. Never had issues like these in other mmo's.

i did the fight,it took 7 attempts,im in belize,only reason we won the last time was because i perfectly memorized every movement of the boss and moves .6 seconds before he even began to show the cone.

its very hard and the only people with high pings defending it are the ones who were lucky enough to not get focused by titan,or moved before he even casted.(which is impossible to do if your the healer...gotta be casting heals on idiots!)

Yea i think people here just have shit internet thats your problem.

You should, you know...just get fiber...that will make the difference. (Unless you're in australia, because thats nologner an option for most people since the Australian broadband party was just voted out. )



OH WAIT, NO! fiber still doesn't defy the laws of physics and when your shit has to travel around the world you still get a terrible ping...



This is worsened by the fact the server has a tick/polling rate of 3, 200ms ping becomes 500ms and you're already dead, you just don't know it yet.
