    Grinding dungeons to level

Yes, it is perfectly feasible to grind dungeons to level. The problem of course is that you need an in-demand role to do so; as a healer (my experience) and as a tank (probably), there is zero wait time (usually) for a dungeon. That's better than sitting around in a party waiting for a FATE to pop up near you.

The XP from a dungeon doesn't come from the measly 2k or however much experience you get for completion, it comes from the monster kills. In the time it takes to complete a FATE, you can get 3 or 4 times the experience clearing mobs in a dungeon.

Then of course there's the fact that grinding dungeons gives you green/aethereal gear, which I notice in this game can last a good ten levels or so before it's outclassed by standard gear.

All of this is why I stopped leveling my lvl 34 bard and started on my conjurer. In maybe 3 hours time I went from level 15, two runs of Sastasha got me to 16 and mostly to 17, 1 run of TamTara got me to 18 and almost 19, and three runs of Copperbell Mines have me almost to 20. At 20 I'll be running Halatali and I assume the increased experience of Halatali over Copperbell will reduce the number of runs per level.

Finally, each dungeon seems to be leveled so that you can run at least one dungeon without having to synch. This is important because when synched you do not receive chain bonuses to your experience. It also helps to have other boosts to exp from having a higher leveled class (in my case, my lvl 34 bard), guild perks giving higher exp per monster kill, and 3% exp boost from food.

And of course, it's more fun doing constant dungeon grind instead of waiting for a FATE. Only downside, of course, is wiping from da noobsters not knowing how to play (stop killing the bombs, they need to explode next to the jelly! and read your darn chatbox goshdarnit!)

man, something must seriously be twisted on Behemoth's server group then. I've been dealing with waits of 45 min to 90 minutes starting at around level 30 on my white mage.

I agree that running dungeons is decent exp, but it can't compare to fates. The exp you gain from chaining mobs in a quest is comparable, if not better than the exp you get from dungeon mobs, plus you get a hefty bonus at the end. Considering fate's take like 2 minutes or less its very easy exp. In 3 hours you could probably get from 15-30 by joining a fate party.

Also, idk what is wrong with behemoth but healer queues in goblin are like 15 seconds or less

That's because the scholars join the healing queue at level 30 - but until then it is great. I have been using my arcanist as main leveling with my conjurer following 1-2 levels behind to shorten the wait for dungeons.

underlevel xp + rested xp + chain xp + food = win. Getting 500-1000 xp for one mob in Hatitali makes the levels come quickly.

Dungeon xp isnt bad, but yeah, it doesn't come close to FATE. Its a 2-3x factor I'd say. Maybe more. Depends on the level of FATEs and what zone you are in. North Thanalan for instance is probably on the order of 5x faster than doing dungeons. But if you are level 15 lets say, then yes, dungeons aren't bad, but they are still inferior to doing FATEs.

I'm still waiting for someone at SE to wake up and address this issue. Of course, I've said the same thing about this guy spamming in Uldah for the last 4 days on the same character name without being deleted...

I did this as a WHM, the greens I got out of the later ones was better than the blue quest artifact in my opinion, but dear god there needs to be some male AND female models for some of this stuff, I am looking like a tranny lallafel. 1 or 2k a kill each + the "crap" loot with no stats that is actually badass crafting components for Vintage items that I like to get that most deem a "waste of time" lol. Its like o look everyone passed and gave me " sense I am a weaver" a free 20k. So the profit is awesome as well.
