Farm crafting items while making level III materia. Easiest way. I've made 650k gil in 3 days.
Sure it takes some time each day, but it's worth it. Especially right now when people are
paying crazy prices for stuff.

In B4 "OMG U DON'T UNDERSTAND TEH PROBLEM!!!one1"
Honstly, with crafters making money hand over fist from leves, why do DoW/DoM players have to have their own Gil mint? I have personally generated over 102K net new gil. My highest level class is 34, and I have stacks of Alghan still in the inventory that I have not sold. The proceeds of everything I have ever sold on the market is either in my FC vault or in my retainers' pockets waiting to be transferred to the FC for our house fund. Every gil I have kept for myself has been either a gil reward from a quest, hest, or (the lion's share) from crafting leves.
Have you seen the number of crafters out there? You can't swing a lalafel by the ankle without hitting half a dozen of them in any guild or market in Eorzea. I think it's safe to say that the amount of cash coming into the economy is healthy enough.
None of the end game players in my FC are having cashflow problems - Rather than sitting with their thumbs in their asses while they are waiting 40 minutes for their full-group instance to spawn, they farm - either crafting materials from killing mobs, or materia from soulbonding whites, which they turn around and sell to CRAFTERs on the market. The crafters in turn buy those crafting materials and use them for leves to generate brand new shiny gil.
Everyone's been trying to make real world economic comparisons, but everyone seems to forget that not everyone has a US Bureau of Engraving and Printing press in their basement. *Everyone* doesn't have to make new gil, so long as enough are doing it to sustain the economy. If you don't want to take a step closer to the fountain, you can hardly complain that you are thirsty.

^ That. And not to say I haven't quested or anything to produce my own gil, either. Trust me, I did many, many, many quests. I've completely drained allNone of the end game players in my FC are having cashflow problems - Rather than sitting with their thumbs in their asses while they are waiting 40 minutes for their full-group instance to spawn, they farm - either crafting materials from killing mobs, or materia from soulbonding whites, which they turn around and sell to CRAFTERs on the market. the Thanalan areas, Coerthas, and Mor Dhona. I've used all my leves as well. It's all about the effort and time you are willing to put in.
