I wish every item wasn't obtainable by questing. Require people to actually buy stuff from the market boards. I have been able to quest all the crafted gear so far. It is disheartening to keep crafting for myself and knowing I already have it. Sure I can spiritbond and make materia like crazy and I have but I would like crafted gear to be just that....gear that is crafted and sold by crafters not bought and quested.

Farm crafting items while making level III materia. Easiest way. I've made 650k gil in 3 days.
Sure it takes some time each day, but it's worth it. Especially right now when people are
    paying crazy prices for stuff.

I did not specify battle leves. I have editted the post to avoid confusion.

    In B4 "OMG U DON'T UNDERSTAND TEH PROBLEM!!!one1"

Honstly, with crafters making money hand over fist from leves, why do DoW/DoM players have to have their own Gil mint? I have personally generated over 102K net new gil. My highest level class is 34, and I have stacks of Alghan still in the inventory that I have not sold. The proceeds of everything I have ever sold on the market is either in my FC vault or in my retainers' pockets waiting to be transferred to the FC for our house fund. Every gil I have kept for myself has been either a gil reward from a quest, hest, or (the lion's share) from crafting leves.

Have you seen the number of crafters out there? You can't swing a lalafel by the ankle without hitting half a dozen of them in any guild or market in Eorzea. I think it's safe to say that the amount of cash coming into the economy is healthy enough.

None of the end game players in my FC are having cashflow problems - Rather than sitting with their thumbs in their asses while they are waiting 40 minutes for their full-group instance to spawn, they farm - either crafting materials from killing mobs, or materia from soulbonding whites, which they turn around and sell to CRAFTERs on the market. The crafters in turn buy those crafting materials and use them for leves to generate brand new shiny gil.

Everyone's been trying to make real world economic comparisons, but everyone seems to forget that not everyone has a US Bureau of Engraving and Printing press in their basement. *Everyone* doesn't have to make new gil, so long as enough are doing it to sustain the economy. If you don't want to take a step closer to the fountain, you can hardly complain that you are thirsty.

^ That. And not to say I haven't quested or anything to produce my own gil, either. Trust me, I did many, many, many quests. I've completely drained all
the Thanalan areas, Coerthas, and Mor Dhona. I've used all my leves as well. It's all about the effort and time you are willing to put in.

I've spent most of the my time in the markets recently and I've seen no deflation. Prices go down AND up based on time of day and demand. I've seen Fleece for 499 then 899 then 599. It goes all over the place. Materia, on my server had been completely stable at around 80-90k for a IV and 20kish for a III. Very little change. Many materials are practically sold out and prices go through the roof until supply is met. HQ Aldegoat Horns were 20k the other day and only 2 in stock!! Finally more came in at 2k each but I bought them last week for 500 gil each. That is not "deflation".
There are too many variables to straight up claim 'deflation'. More crafters and gatherers are entering the market each day as they level with more materials causing more supply and not necessarily more demand. That alone would cause most prices to drop.
You say "money supply is decreasing - look an item that was 100 is now 50!!" But all you're doing is finding an example to fit your theory. That's backwards. Revenue across all total players from leves/fates/etc looks fine to me. I don't see any evidence to the contrary.

I generate gil by soulbinding gear, producing Tier 3 materia, and selling it on the market at 65k/ea.

On a more serious note, I know T3 materia is required for pushing your Relic quest, but I've got nothing but amused disdain for people who are using that choke point to separate new players from the entirety of their gil stash. I get why you do it; you've got a controlled resource that acts as an endgame gate and you're charging all the market will bear.

But damned if I don't find it to be an obnoxious practice.

Some people just aren't willing to put time in to farm or craft. Which is fine, if that's not your thing then don't do it.

But the fact is right now there really is not a super easy way to quest for gil. There won't be until they add dailies
in patch 2.1. Even then, there's no comfirmation on how much gil is going to be awarded for them, or how they
    are going to work exactly.

In the meantime, I continue to farm Fleece while waiting in ques while making materia. I know FATEs aren't exactly
a ton of gil, but with how fast they go in Coerthas it's an option. Albeit a slower one, but it's there. I believe you
get 95g or so per? I could be mistaken.
