stop selling stuff on the ah for 1 gil

People complain about gil, but just look at the market board, more than half of the items I have to sell are selling for 1 gil! Seriously people, you cant complain about not having any money, then when you have a chance to make some, you only sell stuff for a buck, and after taxes you loose money?

That 1 gil crap is just pointless, you would get that from selling it in the store. I find it hilarious that people sell stuff cheaper than they would get in by selling it to the store. I guess a lot of people rode the little yellow bus early in life. lol

the cost on the AH is also driven by npc prices.. if npc for one gil maybe this would help? i say 100 gil min for any npcable item..

We can certainly understand that teleportation costs make it difficult to manage your gil and that the cost of living can be high in general. The other day the team decreased the repair cost and price for dark matter (as covered in Camate's post) but we'll continue to look into adjusting income expenses in an effort to continually balance the economy.

We don't have any particular details right now, but we're looking through your feedback while investigating this matter and appreciate your continued feedback as you explore and live in Eorzea.
I can't go on living cause everything is costly.

    /wrist

hehe just kidding, but really, the only way i'm making gil is to make alts and send the gil to my main xD

Here's a suggestion, make some more daily quests with some decent Gil rewards. (Most current quests only yield a decent amount of exp)
And no exp at level 50 will solve my repair bills after a few dungon runs etc.

With daily quests i mean something like Guildleves but even-out their rewards better. 50/50 = exp/gil. (or optional)
Even the RMT's have to work to earn their rewards. (Equality for both parts)

I'd find a mining/botanist leve for 10k gil reward everyday just to save up for my house.
but at current state, nothing on the marketwards is even worth an effort of gathering & selling in chunks.
The amount of time spent on gathering dosent make of up the effort. (Just as an example)

Last suggestion, adjust the NPC price offers to a decent amount,
1-20gil for a HQ goldsmith hammer make me wanna flip off the NPC. >.<
(I hate to say it but 1.0 NPC's offered better gil...lol)
I mean...it's like we ended up the world of "Gath's Gil", where everything is 1 gil.

I report about 5 botters and gil sellers a day, it feels like throwing a pebble into the ocean, botters are flooding the market place with items you could say they took our jobs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=768h3Tz4Qik

(and returns little EXP to discourage grinding) They would use a logical amount of materials and sell for a reasonable amount. Not so much that you can become a gillionare from an evening of crafting, but enough to both justify leveling a crafting profession and offset the cost of some materials. Example:
    Alchemist lvl 5 -Toy Ball
    2x Latex
    1x Hempen Yarn
    1x Earth Shard
Produces Toy Ball, can be sold to vendor for 50gill, 100gill for HQ.

Edit: To discourge RMT abuse, these synths must be done manualy, no rapid synths allowed. Also, there could be a limit on how many you sell per day. The Toyshop owner only needs 10 Toy Balls from you per day.
This wouldn't work theres already auto synth bots and from what i can see theres nothing being done to stop these people. Same goes with the people miner/botanist botting right outside of main towns, gil sellers still shouting in town since early access EVEN THOUGH digital sales were haulted is SE just banning their characters and not their accounts? i mean.... with all these people they didnt expect to buy the game you think they would have some extra cash to pay 1 person to go to each server to teleport from town to town to ban accounts of those people who shout to sell gil. maybe have some sort of auto ban if a person lets say TELEPORTS to a mining spot faster than its possible to even sprint to... maybe put a 15 second limit to shouts so they cant spam it you know little things..

Thanks for the response! The repair reductions have helped immensely. I feel like that will be enough and any further decreases might result in over inflation.

A good solution would be to reduce the durability wear on gear for normal mob killing/trash killing, etc. I also think decreasing the durability wear and tear on soulbound gear (as it increases to 100%) is important to. It already seems to me that durability wear and tear of gear is too high and I'm not talking about the 2% hit you get when you die. I'm talking about the normal casting and using ability wear and tear that your equipment takes. The wear and tear a character takes in CM versus AK is HUGE.
