Well my issue was fixed next day. Went almost 2 weeks with no problem.
Today it is back in full force. Lags out in 10 second spikes. Then catches up. Cannot due party content.
Please fix!

Same with me, I can play in the morning just fine but in peak hours I just cant do anything D:

Same here, since the last patch I can't play for more than 10-15 minutes without horrendous lag spikes. The game has basically been unplayable for 3 days for me.
Have to keep posting, SE is trying to ignore. I called SE phone support and the guy recommended I buy the latest Nvidia Graphics card (I currently have a 560 ti, run at 60 FPS constantly), after I told him I have 500 Send, 5000 receive ping.
He then ended our call stating "He was on too long and needed me to send a dxdiag report to SE via e-mail" and gave me no other instructions.
I've tried everything, bypassed router, bought new modem, opened tickets with Brighthouse and it all leads to one thing.
FFXIV just cannot support it's players, pure and sadly simple.
Yea the long durations of extreme lag spikes is seriously hurting the game. I had a 2-3 hour period earlier today where I would get 2-3 second lag spikes every 10-15 seconds. Needless to say playing through a dungeon with that lag was far from fun.

Lag is manageable this morning. Seems to be caused by peak time traffic. But not everyone is effected.
There is a post already made about the terrible lag that's 40 pages long already. But anything to get the issue noticed and resolved I guess.
I too have bad lag, every 30secs or so everyone/thing stops for 10 seconds and then zips forward to catch back up.
I have awful fps drops and what not.. Have no idea what is going on but everyone tells me "AMD is trash" buy a new card. I don't think I should have to get a new card for one video game. My card should be able to play this game at max settings.

I have bad lag in certain zones also. I think it's related to how many players are on the screen at once, because have zero lag in light party dungeons. But in crowded zones the game becomes near unplayable. It's frustrating.

Alchemist and Dale. I think your problems are different.
