REgistration Key created new service account unwantedly

I was playing early access and leveled up some characters on a server with my friends. Then after early access was over and I received (or rather dug for) my product code I input it as prompted and when finished to my dismay none of my characters appeared. After a bit of looking I realized that for some insane reason it activated a new blank account. Not something intended. Also I opened a ticket and submitted the issue which seemed to be known, only to have my ticket closed with no action taken 5 days later with some email about how some other issues were resolved and they were closing my ticket without helping me. Also highly frustraiting. Beyond all this I would simply like to deactivate the accidental account and activate my intentional one with my characters I would like to play on it. Someone please help me with this issue.
