Ps3 vs. Ps4 Costs

So I recently read that the Ps4 is not going to offer free online play like Ps3 does. Anyone who wants to play online will have to pay a monthly fee. Which I find completely crap.

Anyways, so people who end up playing this game on ps4 are going to be required to purchase internet, ff: monthly subscription, and ps4: monthly subscription.

Is this correct? If so I would be looking at about 100 dollars a month just to play this game.

To play online games on the PS4, you will need to purchase PlayStation Plus. On PS3, that is currently $60 a year. I doubt it will be much, if any, more expensive on the PS4 seeing as how they are linked in a way (it's all PSN. You get to carry over your PS3 account to the PS4). Everyone already pays for internet. Sooo, it's less than $25 a month to play in my eyes.

PS+ will be required for Standard (non-MMO) PS4 Online Gaming. It is currently 49.99 for a 12 month plan.

With PS+ you get free PSN games, More Discounts on PSN, and with PS4 you will get Online Gaming. MMOs will be able to say 'No, we don't want to require PS+ due to our own Subscription Rates'.

Note that free to play games do not need ps+ subscription on ps4 but if you want to play other mp games then you do.
