Classes != Jobs.

They don't have to innovate. Their Final Fantasy! I do miss my bluemage and hope the same type of monster ability spell slinger is unleashed upon Eorzea in the near future! Thine enemies shall fall. I just don't see how XIV could make an ever better backstory for them after XI's. XI bluemage is just perfect. Good luck XIVI'm counting on you Yoshi!!

Please tell me this isn't another "just rename classes" thread. There is existing lore you know and 3 quests for each (with cutscenes). You can't just change the name and make it "more FF" or any of the other nonsense babble I've read. Sadly you are not the first, nor the last person that will suggest this until such time SE explains the job system.
Just your friendly neighborhood elezen

Well actually Conjure means many things and one of the meanings is to influence by the use of magic or the practice of black magic as well as to summon like you say so it fits BLM and perhaps WHM as well.
i agree with all of this and i would agree with the name if it could actually summon something

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

The idea i proposed was that when you went to the skill assignment menu there was a single box by itself that let you equip a Job like it was a skill and it had saved your skill loadout from the last time you equipped that job.
Then you got bonuses for when you equipped skills that were considered "Familiar" to that job Title. So a White Mage equipping Cure would get +MND and + Healing Potency.

Black and White mage are really freaking hard to confuse even if you never played a Final Fantasy.
I think the main one that would confuse most newcomers is Blue Mage, but it really only takes one google search to know what it means.
As the first two responces from google are
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Blue_Mage
and
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Blue_Mage

That maybe true, but first impression most of the time says it all. You shouldn't expect from every new players to do a whole investigation on their own before deciding what they are encouraged by.Black and White mage are really freaking hard to confuse even if you never played a Final Fantasy.

And a good name can add to that, that's all I'm saying. I don't think new players give much value to an ordinary color as a characteristic to a class.
But now I'm just endlessly repeating what I have been trying to say.
