FFXIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working.

All day today, whenever I click my character to get into a server, I get that error. This never happened to me until the patch today. I can type and log into the launcher, but the minute I select my character it gives me that error and the game crashes. It happens ONLY when I select my character to get into the world.
Anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have a fix?

I like this game when I can actually get in and I WANT To play this. I just need some help on how to fix this.

Does not happen to me. Try to re-install the client and see if fixed. After the patch went live, I log in with little trouble.

I have had your same problem since Aug 30th, the game hard crashes when you try to log into your character, even stranger, I bet you can log in just fine with characters other then the one you are experiencing this problem with.

I have tried to re-install and that doesn't fix it, it seems to be character based. I have had a ticket to have SE look into this problem but still not a word. At least we have each other.

;( I tried uninstalling and re-installing as well. I can't even check to see if its a character specific thing or not since I can't make a new character. It's so stressful. ;_; But at least we can hang out together.

I've had the same exact problem today. It really stinks. Have yet to find a solution, though.

I have a strange feeling the patch is to blame, but no way to prove it. I never had this problem before today.

EXACTLY! Me either. Its really, really frustrating.

Having same issue here, been reading through threads and tried a lot of different things from cleaning drivers out and reinstalling them to memory tests. Everything is working fine, came hear and saw a post about trying a different character so I did and it works just fine...
