I don't know if there exist any crowdcontrol(CC) class in FF.
I but as FFXIV is a PvE game I think it could have a CC class.
A class that is focused on controlling the enemy would be a greate fun to play.
This could be done i lots of diffrent ways: physical controll or mind controll.
It could be tide to elements like wind and ice.
It could be done with net and webb.
So the grafic could look realy diffrent depending on what fit's FF.
The effects of CC can be realy varied:
single target; multi target; tied to the ground.
    Works as long as you don't hit them; work even if you damage them;
Gives bonus on attack for the poeple that atack them (or no bonus)
Make targets unable to move, but can still use ranged attack (or total imoble)
Just naming some of the possible variations.

I would like to see a Gardening Class. It would be nice to be able to grow my own produce. I would assume this could be incorporated in a town gardening location or mog house or guild house.

I'd like to see most of the jobs from FF Tacics Advance, and Dark Knight as an advance class for MRD!

I dont know why most people when they hear about "what new classes u want" they talk about "old" classes from FFXI.

I would like to see something brand fresh and new, that we didnt see in any FF before.

But i get your point guys, some of old FF classes would be nice to see here too!

Aside from the obvious summoner, dragoon, samurai, ninja, dancer, I would like a Hairdresser

It would equip a scissor and change the hairstyles of others
It could also craft items like hairdyes and such and do tatoos.
A class purely to be able to change the visual of the character.

You have attained Hairdresser rank 2!
You have learned Wash and Cut I.

I have read many posts about what yoshi plans on doign and what others want to see happening. In one of Yoshi's letters, he talks about how new classes will be advanced jobs, or branch jobs (or whatever you would like to call it.) Another lengthy post I read was about how "jobs" and "classes" are different.

One of my main concerns, and I believe alot of others is that the classes aren't unique enough.

Combining these ideas I thought of a unique system that would keep the existing classes. (Feel free to add where you feel I missed)

Classes are all different and serve different purposes but they aren't very unique. As they stand they are somewhat similar, and most classes can do what the other classes can. Here is where my idea comes in:

At a certain Rank when you reach a class(Lets say ~35) you are given a quest(yes they will have to add quests!) to unlock class specific jobs. Each class would have 2 jobs. To give more content, they could make 2 seperate quests, 1 for each job. Once you complete that quest your rank 35 can now be a rank35 with their job as " ". For example: I reach rank35 Marauder, my class is still 35 MRD, but my job could be set as either a Berserker or a Dark Knight. These jobs do NOT have levels. They are just the same as your class. Based on what rank MRD you are, you will be given different abilities, and able to wield different weapons. Ex: a 40 MRD(Berserker) Can wield 2 handed axes, and get the ability "Rage":Increasing Attack damage for a limited time, while reducing defense. a 40MRD(DarkKnight) can wield 2 handed scythes, and at R40 get the ability "Drain2". These spells are just examples, but you get the gist of it. Each job can only use their specific abilities/spells. So MRD(berserker) couldnt use MRD(darkknight) abilities and vise versa.

So, with this system, once you are Rank50 MRD, you would have a 50MRD(Darknight/Berserker) as well(assuming you completed the job quests). In order to maintain uniquness, and so players just cant switch at will, you would have to set your class job in a city. This way we can avoid MRD switching between the 2, and defeating the purpose of job uniqueness.

So first off you have classes:

    Pugilist
    Gladiator
    Lancer
    Marauder
    Archer
    Musketeer
    Shield
    Conjurer
    Thaumaturge
    Arcanist

I added Arcanist and Musketeer as classes, as they are most likely going to be added since they already have their respective guilds in Lima Lominsa.

Then you have the Jobs which can be unlocked at R35 for their specific classes. These are just some ideas I came up with for their respective classes.

    Possible Jobs(weapons):

    Monk (knuckles) OR Puppetmaster (claws)
Paladin (sword with shield) OR Ninja (dual wield katanas)
Dragoon (Lance w/ Wyvern) OR Samurai (Great Katana)
Dark Knight (Scythe) OR Berserker (Great Axe or 2H sword)
Hunter (Pet and Shortbow-Crossbow) OR Ranger (Longbow)
Corsair (1 handed guns) OR Gunner (Bigger guns)
Physical Shield OR Magical Shield (Absorb magical spells or deflect certain ones for more damage)
    Whitemage (Club) OR Blackmage (Staff)
RedMage (Sword or Club/Shield) OR Summoner (Club)
    BlueMage (Scmitar) OR BloodMage (Books)

I know there are other jobs people would like to see but this is just an outline, and what i feel fit the best for each class.

As most of us know, the Physical level is kind of useless. Not only does it have flaws, but the benefits gained from physical levels are not really noticeable, and the caps screw the system up entirely, especially when wearing +attribute gear. Ontop of this, it also adds confusion and stress for those that do not know how they should distribute their points or how to test the effects to recieve the most from your allocation.

My idea is for them to get rid of the physical level.

Another Option instead of being able to switch jobs:

Perhaps the classes could have job advancments, like ones I have posted, but you would only be able to choose one, and stick to 1. Ex: At R35 Lancer, you could choose to become a dragoon or a samurai, but could not switch between the two. This would not only make players feel more unique and each player would have different upgraded jobs, so not everyone feels like they are the same as the other player.

kinda like most of what you wrote except the above one.
Pure WoW ripoff, and SE not gonna do that.

It's there's any class having pets it'll prolly end up being called "Beastmaster" or "Trainer" (aka. old scholl FF class)

Need further refrence please look here: http://www.ffcompendium.com/h/jobs/beastmaster.shtml
