I would like to see Bard in the game, with the ability to custom write your own songs... like in Mabinogi.

The system also involved/required the custom songs to be written on a consumable with limited uses.. allowing the song writer to make a profit off of other player musicians that enjoyed, and would like to play their music.

    1) a Beastmaster type pf class would be awesome since its one of my favorites

    2) In game you have the buccaneers why not make a Buccaneer/Pirate class (gun's / playing cards)

    3) Dual wielding class Rouge or Ninja

All of you are insane! What other class could possibly be more important than bard? Why is bard not in the game yet already? Almost everything else you've all suggested is secondary!

We've got DPS, we've got tanks, we've got healers. Why the hell do you want more of that when we have no buffing class yet?!

Probably because of how utterly central BRD was to FFXI. It was a highlight of poor design.

Need a tank? Well, could be a PLD. Or a RDM. Or a NIN.
Need a DD? No shortage there!
Need a healer? Plenty of options!

    Need a BRD? Yes.

Not a buffer, a BRD. COR was a useful job, but it wasn't a BRD. Some of the rolls were really nice, but just due to how Phantom Roll worked, and what COR could and couldn't do, it didn't displace BRD (except for with a party full of BLMs). Haven't really played since the cap raises, and some of its new rolls look spiffy, but BRD is still an insanely good and flexible support class.

Alright, I'm open to more variety of buffing classes, yes. But out of the 7 war/magic classes we already have, why do we not have a buffing class already? This should've been in since conceptual design, long before alpha even.

And also, that's just a terrible breakdown of needs for a party in FFXI. It obviously wasn't thought out very good. Minimum tank/healer is enough to get a party going, and what classes would be acceptable depended heavily on level. Don't just make up nonsense to support your argument if you're going to make one.

Ninja and Thief. I'm so sad there's no THF.

And implementation of all the FFXI classes into FFXIV would be really cool each with there own new abilities different from FFXI but now in a graphically better game... but now who would want to play old FFXI anymore. SE has some decisions to make

I demand my puppetmaster back. It was one of the few original jobs SE had in years that hit it off, and was the most successful and powerful of the pet classes by the time they finished with most updates and added deus ex automata. It was the most flexible, being able to be a healer, nuker, and hit any type of enemy weakness, and valoredge is even a halfway decent disposable tank now. the only thing left tripping it up is the AI, and in FFXIV they could (and should!) implement a FFXII style gambit system to customize the AI just like you want. It's a sign a system works so well when people's biggest complaint with FFXII was that the game played itself because gambits were too perfect, and with a system like that automatons wouldn't fall into the same AI traps like priorizing -na spells over healing like they did in FFXI. I absolutely miss fighting alongside my Oniwaka, using my fists and his magic, pushing ourselves to the limit in what we could solo and lowman using our powers, and getting thrills when I took down a creature even beastmasters and some red mages feared to poke.

I'd also love a psychic class, especially since it would fit my name quite nicely. ^.^ I'm not too picky on what it does, though as FFX-2 international version had a psychic class, I suppose the dev team could take a peek there to get some ideas. I do remember it having abilities that let it absorb physical, magical, and eventually both attacks at once, however.

I'm not picky, I just think that an introduction of any new class would be great.
