I'm not picky, I just think that an introduction of any new class would be great.

I would love to see Bard again but this time with the possibility to play musical instruments, playing 'notes' with keyboard. With this he could assign a customized song (few notes of course) on every ability/magic when he cast them.
And an idea about a possible Treasure Hunter (or Archeologist or Lore Master) class (gathering):
- To find ancient/lost things around the world (books, items and stuff, with specific text to learn lore of Eorzea too), and the possibility to put them in your house. With 'searching' sidequests for it (with riddles inside).
- One of the abilities could be the possibility to translate some different languages (beastmen) or 'understand/decipher' paintings and scriptures around the world or to learn things on an area/region if you explore totally it using that class.
- He could find ancient/rare devices or items useful for the crafting classes (with a mini-game possibly)
- Also he could have useful ability in combat, like studying mithological beasts and finding their weak points.

BST, COR, and PUP
All of these were incredible jobs. The community thought otherwise.
Try me, I will destroy you at every turn about these -.-;
Any pet job should be a great addition to the game, there are a lot of people they prefer to play most part of their play time, alone. A pet job is a good add-on for all those peps.
I want a summoner badly. It is my favorite job. More variations of mage classes would be great too since just two isn't enough for a mage lover like me!
Hurray for summoner! My favorite job!
I don't understand this fascination with pet classes. In every MMO I've seen, pet classes end up becoming DPS classes or just plain broken classes due to countless balance issues.
The only reason to have a pet class is if you want to solo, which is silly.
I would like to play smn in ffxiv but after play pet classes in others mmorpg too i wouldnt expect too much. SMN in ffxi was a bit gimp(at 75, now idk) but it was my favorite job.
I am slightly amused by this thread. I don't mean to be condescending in any way, being a long term ffxi fan. But, so many people are asking SE via the forums to 'not' go in an ffxi direction, yet all of the things that a lot of people want to see come back, are ffxi items.
Classes being a big one. I had a party in my own mind when they were releasing images of Limsa Lominsa officials, and once I saw the special guild located there. I would love to see a Corsair type character emerge.
I would like to see these jobs int he game:
Mage classes:
* Geomancer
* Summoner
* Blue Mage
* Green Mage
* Morpher
* Red Mage
* Necromancer
* Black Mage
* White Mage
Arm classes:
* Dragoon (with pet. hopefully different types of wyvern with different colors and elements to choose from)
* Samurai
* Ninja
* Dancer
* Bard
* Dark Knight
* Paladin
* Beast Master
* Assassin
* Thief
* Gunner
* Beserker
* Canoneer (Corsair / Gambler)
* Puppetmaster (I totally like the puppets here)
* Monk (a rea martial arts fighter with kicks too!)
Riskbreaker! From Vagrant Story!
