    Guide to having your service accounts merged due to mistaken registration

    Hello!

    I blundered after staring at the registration screen for quite some time, making the wrong decision that ultimately cost me a week of play time. I'm not alone in this boat. Hope this guide helps you.

    After wrestling with the system for almost a week now, sitting on hold for at least 12 hours accumulated, sitting through a chat system that is either disabled or doesn't work properly, and not having a single response to an e-mail, I've finally recovered my account.

    Here's how you can do the same.
    SE opens at 9:00PST. Begin spam calling them at 8:58. You need to be the first couple hundred in line if you hope to have your call resolved in a timely manner. I called at 9:09 yesterday and waited for 4 hours until my phone died. The trick, as I said, is to begin spam calling until they open the flood gates. At the time that you DO get through, you will be put through a phone system that takes 30-60 seconds for you to listen to the options. As soon as you realize you're through, spam the 1 button, that will put you to account management customer support. Skipping listening to the details is essential; a minute could be the difference between being 10th in line and 1000th.

    Update:
    You absolutely NEED your service ticket number of your form you filled out to begin the service account merger process. They WILL hang up on you instantly if you don't have this handy.

    Chat services are working again. Per multiple posters on the forums, the wait time was roughly 2:00 starting around 1 PST.
