Dual GPU Non SLI Phsyx Help

Recently bought my 560ti and been using it as my main gpu. My old 9800GT I had envisioned would be used as my dedicated Physx gpu, but alas judging by "GPU Usage" with Afterburner during XIV gameplay it never procs (always stays at 0%).

Compatible drivers are installed, Nvidia Control Panel is set to use the 9800GT as Physx card. What am I doing wrong. Or is it the case where this type of setup is not yet compatible with XIV.

Hey there, Waraji.

The easiest way to tell would be to launch a different game and monitor your card usage. If your card isn't active while playing any game, then you need to take FFXIV out of the equation.

I honestly have no experience using a designated physx card, and am unable to test your setup because my security token is busted. But I don't think you're missing out on anything.

I did read somewhere else that FFXIV doesn't support Physx. But they had no references.

FF XIV is using it's own physics (not to be confused with PhysX) engine, so you should see no usage on a dedicated PhysX card.
