    HM Titan Quicksand (Weight of the land) delay

    Running 140ms from Aus to Japan.

    On the Titan fight, sometimes I'm very clearly out of the quicksand circle but I'm still being hit by it, yet sometimes I make a mistake a strafe a little inside before getting out and I'm safe?

    Anyone else experiencing this? The quicksand reaction requirement is very unforgiving.

    [e] I fixed this issue by using Battleping or Wtfast.

    This is just how primal fight are since v 1.0. their positioning and refresh timing is kind of bad, so with higher ping you screw.

    I agree, I have a 130ms ping to server (from europe to the so-called "European" datacenter located in america).

    I play with keyboard, and I never achieve to avoid the big "corridor" strike that pushes you outside...

    This fight in NOT beatable for a non local keyboard player !!!!
    Especially as a caster, not being able to move while casting.

    I just automatically assume I'm going to get hit by something if I'm not out of it for a good 2+ seconds. If this has been around since 1.0 then I wouldn't count on it being fixed, heh.

    Like most AoEs in this game, damage is triggered based on where your character is standing when the cast bar/ability triggers (Not when the visual que trggers). Take the last boss in keep for instance - you can run out and reengage the boss the moment the large AoE cast bar ends and be perfectly fine. Even though the graphics for the ability are still active, the character hit/miss check has already triggered. Best solution on Titan, move faster.

    Not trying to be rude here, but there is plenty of time to get out of the AoEs, the fight is VERY well tuned. Just because people decide to play on non-local server doesn't mean content should be nerfed for the rest of us.

    Just because people decide to play on non-local server doesn't mean content should be nerfed for the rest of us.
    "decide" to play on "non-local" server. What an incredibly stupid thing to say. All NA & EU servers are hosted in Canada, there is no choice involved.

    I take it Behemoth is an NA server and your ping to Canada is perfectly fine? Also, at what point in this thread did anyone mention nerfing content?

    Titan is not as much of a reaction fight as it is a prediction fight

    In each phase he uses abilities in very distinct patterns.
    Phase 1 is just tumult and landslide over and over
    Phase 2, when he lands he will use Weight of the Land about 5 seconds later, then from on its Landslide -> Tumult -> Weight of the land repeating
    Phase 3 he will use Landslide, then Weight of the land then i think tumult then bombs then it repeats

    Once you learn these patterns it isn't a case of "Oh this stuff appeared under my feet, better run out" because that isn't going to work for you. It's a case of "Oh he just used Tumult, better use sprint or start moving early"

    The visual indicators on the ground don't match the cast time of an ability. The cast bar ending is when the ability triggers. The visual indicators and the cast bars are not in sync, the cast starts before the visual, and ends before the visual vanishes. You can have latency on your end to, but .1 to .2 second delay doesn't prevent you from reacting unless you aren't paying attention. If you want max heads up watch their cast bars.

    You're totally wrong. You can easily still get hit if the castbar isn't finished and you're out of the indicator. This happens even with 10 ping sometimes.

    Not trying to be rude here, but you're not as good as you think you are. The game is flawed. The unresponsive combat in combination with aoe issues makes it feel like a game from 1995. You're also playing a Gladiator, a class that does not have to worry about avoiding any mechanic on any fight. Anything you say is useless.
