Blind Bidding with a Price History allows RMT Manipulation. A group of 5 RMT's can completely decimate the economy of a game in less then a month if they try hard enough. Simply by buying all the stock of an item thats in demand but has low quantity and then force the price history up artificially by selling it to themselves over and over at a higher price then the item would naturally be worth.

Timed Bidding... Well thats timed bidding, It takes too long to be valuable to the player. Some games can have an item up for almost 7 days worth of bidding when you need the item now.

They should do buyout only no price history only current listed prices like the wards. That is one thing I think the wards got right no history. I do like the wards but if I'm in a hurry it's too much of a hassle they should make it more time friendly I wouldn't mind paying extra tax and buying the item from the search feature.

I only use the term AH because everyone understands what it is. No one uses the bid systems in WoW that much. But if they do something like this I am 100% for it. or I would be okay with wards as they are now IF only they made them feel more alive. Give the retainers some life...

Everything they have created in this game has been made specifically with thwarting RMT in mind and has only served to punish the few actual players left which is what pisses me off the most. We have UI lag and unresponsiveness by using a server-side UI because they are so afraid of RMT. All of their problems could be solved by having a far more active approach on banning and removing RMT accounts.

Semantics. Are you honestly saying that if they added an AH system just like other games, (I hate to always reference WoW, but it works) Without a bid feature and called it the Market House or some other name you would be all for it? Not every AH has a blind bid or a timed bid feature, you say this doesn't make it an auction house anymore. Well maybe not by exact definition but it's just the typical MMO-term.
