My gil and all of my Allagan(?) pieces have been stolen.

    Hello,

My previous password had 9 numbers, 1 capital letter and 4 small letters.

I found an e-mail that says change your password. I did, then I logged in a few hours later.

I logged in and found my character in Ul'dah -- I tried to teleport and it said I had zero gil. I looked for the small items that you sell for 25, 100, 500, 2,500 gill and they were gone too.

My computer runs AVG scan once a day. The computer itself is very new and has barely anything installed on it. My original password wasn't exactly 123456789Asdfg, it was a very secure password.

I think that email was fake. And someone got your password and stole everything.

Blacklist aint long enough and there name are all stupid like hdgjkw so adding them is almost impossible. did you ever respond to a /tell from them. I did now i get ten time more spam than when they first started. you cant say F*** off to gill seller they will harass the hell out of you.

They steal passwords from forums and other places too. You should keep unique passwords for everything, it's just inconvenient

If you don't already have one buy a security token from SE, or else download the app if you have a compatible smartphone/tablet/etc...

Any time anyone sends you an email saying that you need to change your password, never ever click on any links in that email, even if it looks like legitimate. Always open your browser and log in through the official website, it's much safer.

AlternativeOne: if you're getting spam as pm's, go to the user macros and make one like this:

    /blist add <r>

This macro will blacklist the last person who sent you a pm. Drag the macro icon to your hotbar and use it the next time you get a spam pm.

Change your password through the official site right away. Also get a security token.

Unless you personally clicked the forget your password button yourself, never ever click on a link that asks you for your password. You probably got your account details stolen when you entered it in that email link you received.

This is getting out of control now. There are a heck of alot of people getting hacked. In this case I feel for you, but next time never change any password via email.Always come to the official site and do it there.
