[Suggestion] Vote to kick system

Please, please, please....PLEASE sit and actually think about adding this into the game. Honestly, it's highly annoying there's no AFK system, but to be put into a 4 man after 45 minutes - 1 1/2 hours of sitting in queue for your tank to accept it, pull 3 mobs, then sit AFK is the most highly annoying thing ever possible. (Yes this happened to me. Our tank went AFK and came back 25 minutes later after I had to dragoon semi tank up to the first boss).

Can't leave the group or else you get a 15 minute debuff that refuses to let you queue. Why am I being punished because someone else decides to go AFK in a TIMED DUNGEON after I had to wait around nearly or over an hour?

I thought of a very effective method that they could use for the vote kick feature. So if you right click someones name in the party menu you can "report them as afk", this then will bring up a system box on the person who you reported screen saying something along the lines of "You have been reported as AFK, if you do not hit "Not AFK" (it'll be a button in the prompt) you will be removed from the instance in 1 minute (there will be a countdown timer in the box that counts down from 1min). I think it would be the best way to approach this because it would minimize the potential abuse of a kick feature and it would still work to remove people who decide to go AFK for long periods of time.

Then another problem would arise if they are just "afk" to troll. They could just hit the "not afk" button and your still stuck there like a derp.

People would just vote to kick people watching cutscenes since they already get angry about watching cutscenes in a final fantasy game. So while I do wish you could kick some people I don't want to see a bunch of people being brats and kicking because people watch cutscenes.

The only way a vote kick could work is call GM to investigate if someone is really afk, rude, trolling. Otherway it will be definitely abused to kick players that roll for same gear, doesnt perform optimally according to a parser or first-timers wanting to watch cutscenes in last two story dungeons.

Why teaching someone new how to play when u can just kick him?

DF was created to give casuals content accessibility. And vote kick without safety mechanisms will be used mainly against them.

I bet SE will not risk casuals getting kicked from last two story dungeons for watching cutscenes because some elitist pricks want to speedrun them for tomes.

Another safety mechanism apart from live GM judge could be GM investigation after complaint. If the kicked one complains and is found innocent, all players that voted "yes" are given 6h jail punishment, pay compensation to the kicked one from their gametime pool and potential completion prizes, the player that provoked vote pays double. However if GM finds the kicked one really commited punishable crime, he gets appropriate punishment.

WoW has it down pretty pat where you cant vote kick so many minutes after a fight and what not.

Im pretty sure SE will find a way to do that for cut scenes as well.

Lets face it. Games are sold unfinished these days. As nice as FF14 is, it still needs A LOT of polish.
