Used Behemoth Barding but didn not receive the mount.

Steps:

I upgraded to digital collectors edition. i received all in game items. I used the Coeurl Bell and received the mount, But when i used the Behemoth Barding it consumed the item but the mount didn't popup in the mount tab or any other place. i have also verified that the item didn't stay in my bags.

Companions -> Barding section, press on gear piece and select desired barding elements

The barding is only for the chocobo mount though, isn't it?

So you'll need a chocobo as well... Quest for a chocobo and license to ride mounts will come after you join a grand company (not to be confused with free company/guild)

Thought i would post in here rather than make a new thread. I have my Chocobo summoned for battle, and i clicked the Behemoth Barding item from my Inventory. It disappeared but nothing seemed to happen? Have gone into the Companion section but there is no "Barding" option. Also gone to the Character tab and clicked the little Chocobo image at the top, and the only armor that appears there is the Ul'dahn set? Anyone able to help please?

Go to your character/gear screen, on top you will see small Chocobo icon, once in chocobo/buddy setup on the bottom you can setup the chocobo's gears.

Already tried that, as mentioned, all that appears is the Ul'dahn set?
