Final things THAT NEED to be in this game

You lost all credibility right there.

The Wards are the least of what they should be concentrating their efforts on. I can go to them, search for an item and get the item with little difficulty. Implementing an AH now would just set back other content at this point.

We do not need more anima but alternative transportation methods would be much appreciated.

As for NM's/HMN, the ONLY way they should be implemented is with non-riduculous spawn timers and a large enough spawn radius that it would render even the idea of claim bots to be laughable. For those of you who don't think that claim bots would come about if HMN were done FFXI style you are kidding yourselves.

Also OP, you like many many others on this board are living in the rosy-tinted memories of FFXI past. Seemingly forgetting the many headaches that game threw our way over the years.

Like many of my fellow players I just don't have 8+ hrs to play every single day anymore, people have jobs and responsibilities that things like staying up til/gettin up at 4am to try and wrestle with an HM that moved into that time slot basically becomes a bad idea. The ability to roam around one place for hours waiting to fight over a claim does not equal skill or challenge. However I'm all for NM's that requires tactics and organization to best in combat.

Also you aren't hardcore, no player is. It's merely a delusional status one gives themselves to justify spending a borderline unhealthy amount of time gaming which many of us are guilty of doing at some point in our lives.

They are changing how it works in FFXI now, why would they bring it back to life in this game?

Not what im saying at all . what im saying is making hnm or nms longer pop times not this 5min pops and bring competition to rival linkshells not just awe well its gonna pop in 30sec again where it is w/e if you claim
also to make the armor that drops far better to where you can wear for more then 5 lvls or 1 lvl in some cases

Again. Time =/= Challenge or Competition

increasing the time for pops wont do anything but increase the time people have to sit around waiting.

I'd rather see HNM's be Arena fights where the true challenge is implemented by the arena not "Competeting for the pop" thats a false challenge.

Like I said in my first post in this thread, The high level NM's should be from Arenas where theres special rules when you enter the fight like no MP/HP regen, no stat/class/equipment changing, hate covers the whole arena are the three ideas I think would increase the challenge exponentially but these rules wouldn't fit in a normal world zone.

I wouldn't expect that the higher level ones will have 5min repop times, they may even increase the spawn time on the existing ones based on feedback. Who knows. I still think that progressive content is the way to go over luck but that is my personal belief. The way ZNM's functioned would be a decent platform to build from as you worked your way up to progressively harder NM's and it could branch in different ways while getting some semi-decent or situational gear along the way.

Price History

Could (and should) be added to the market wards search interface. Although I'd like to see it done with a visual graph of highest, lowest and average price over the last several months rather than a list of the last 10 transaction FFXI style. It'll be much harder for RMT companies to manipulate prices this way.

How? The current system forces a more direct approach with a player's retainer. With FFXI's AH system, you didn't even know who you were buying from. Also, because you know who you're buying from, known RMT can be avoided.

More options

Improved search and filter options could (and again, should) be added to the market wards search interface. In some ways the Market Wards system already allows for more options. Only being able to sell a single item or a full stack in FFXI was a pain. FFXIV allows many items to be sold individually or any size of stack to be sold as a group. This is much for flexible than the old system in FFXI.

Speedy transaction

Only speeding things up by a few seconds. I would like the ability to buy from the Market place search menu though. Running to the NPC does seem like an excessive step.

What I'd like to see done with it is:

• Market Ward is 1 single zone, not a different zone per ward.
• Different categories of items are sold at different counters. This stops everyone being crowded around a single point.
• Player names rather than retainers are listed for who is selling the item.
• Price history is displayed showing price change over several months as I mentioned earlier in the post.
• Similar interface to the the market wards search is used, with addition options for sorting and filtering listed items.
• Previews of item stats are displayed when browsing the menu.

thios doesnt make sense you seem to say that in 14 your know who is the owner of the retainer and able to know its not an rmt , me personally if i was making alot of dusk glove and need behemoth hides i would look at the ""SALES HISTORY"" and directly contact player to get mats when they are available you make no sense brah

I'm not saying you know who the owner is, but if a retainer is spotted dealing strangely, price hiking etc, then their name can spead, just as if it was a player character.

If you look further down the post, I do say that I'd like to see player names linked to good being sold rather than doing everything through retainers anyway.

To extend the search functionality of this current ward system.
SE need to put star or * after ward that we mark with star from search result.
The problem right now is we have to "Memorize" the ward name and if we forgot it, we have to search again.

But for me, Ward system fine for me..
yes, the AH is good to have but doesn't matter much at this point
