Gil Spammers

Everyone else noticing a large amount of these everywhere you go? Not only is this against SE ToS but I'm pretty sure its a scam too because its exceedingly hard to get gil in the amounts that they are selling.

Square Enix will you please do something about all these Spammers!?

RMT spam goes with MMOs like peanut butter goes with jelly. Now that the servers are psudo-stable, you can be sure SE will be focusing the hammer on the RMT in the near future.

I would guess it will be less bad when we start paying the monthly fees. But there will always be some of it, sadly. :/ Best we can do is make them known to the GMs so they deal with them.

The gil they are selling is from accounts that have been hacked. So the gil spam will disappear once people stop being hacked, but with the way Square Enix has made it super hard to make gil once level 50, people will unfortunately fall victim to these scams.

Use the "report harassment" and report gil sellers as soon as they contact you. Make it harder for them to do business, and they'll go away.

well tbh, i've actually had never seen one in my server yet so far.

but even if an item sells for only 1 gil to the npc, it's still getting money. scores of bots/not-actually-a-bot harvesting stuff with DoL classes isn't exactly a problem for them.

I've reported 5 people so far on Adamantoise, and I will continue blacklisting and reporting. There isn't much else you can do about it.
