FATE contribution Points, a question

Hi everyone. I'm curious on how FATE contribution points work and whether they might need a little adjusting.

Scenario If TL;DR Skip to my questions at the bottom. Scenario adds substance. for those who don;t know Gorgimera is a 40 something 30 minute big boss fight.
Myself and my partner enter a Gorgimera fight (still haven't managed to win one yet ) as Melee is a little tough He switches to his Legacy poorly equipped Archer (so he can res me) instead of his well equipped monk. I'm playing a summoner and there are no tanks around so in goes Titan Egi. - We are there for the entire fight and both level 50.

I tank literally 90% of the fight with all of my attention concentrated on keeping Titan alive. Every time he dies Gorgimera ends up running all over the shop killing everyone and twice now in separate fights someone has run him out of FATE range and he's reset

I throw out a dot now and then but with my very limited healing ability as a summoner all time and Mana is spent on keeping my little tank alive.

My partner runs around shooting things. And pulling hate off of me from adds.

FATE ends we lose again My partner gets gold and I get silver. This has happened every time I have fought him. I can't get gold. even though I was participating for the full 28 minutes before it despawns

When, after working so hard, I finally beat that FATE and I get silver and no pet.. I'm going to be devastated.

My Questions
So does healing your pet not count despite the fact that hes the one tanking?

Or does your healing contribution not count for much if you're playing a DPS role despite the fact that you are doing 12 times as much healing as anyone else?

I think they check your contribution depending on your job. That means being a DD, heal spells dont count as it you are a WHM or SCH.

Thats what I think, would be great if anyone knows for sure.

I'm assuming this is the case but it makes things a little rough why shouldn't a DD who responsively notices people need healing or resing be rewarded for their ingenuity. If I'm playing a BLM and I notice our tank who's been tanking the whole FATE for us is two hits from dead and no one is healing him I will throw him a few heals.. No they aren't strong heals but I'm damn sure Mister Tank appreciated it.

I believe contribution is primarily calculated from the enmity you generate and your level in relation to the FATE, so it's possible that your healing, while beneficial, did not generate the level of threat as others in the fight. I get gold almost every time, even when late to the FATE and 7-8 levels below it, by just getting into a party and spamming Medica.

Well then my pets enmity counts for nothing as it had hate the whole fight. If pet contribution means nothing I'm pretty sure there's a slightly gimp class in FATES XD.
or Does contribution reset perhaps when you die... meaning when Poor Titan Egi dies I lose my contribution??? surely not that would be harsh. I never have a problem getting gold in any other fight just this one where my fighting style is different.
