Fantasia can change Male or Female but not Name?

Why it is we can't changed our name with the Fantasia Appearance potion when the description clearly stated we can change male to female or via versa, but we not allow to Changed our name? That doesn't make sense.

I know they do that so people don't abused it knowing they can changed name whenever they want, they can be an ass. But it sucks because there no ways anyone changed into female or male now because of the Name. I hope Name change will be implemented in the future

Because if you had read the announcement you would know that there's a name change being provided next week.

That announcement is only for anyone with a v1.0 character that experienced problems during the import and it clearly states:

"* Please note that we will only be providing the service to those who have encountered problems during the character change process. "

So regular players will not be able to change the character name.

Yeah, but why would anyone want to change to a Male with a Female name, or the other way around :P

For some of the V1 people, Male Miqo'tes and Female Roegadyns did not exist at the time for one.

Hey guys while we are on this subject can someone help me by telling me how I active the appearance change? because I used the item in game but I can't seem to get the settings on the character screen to work to change anything.

Also I'm wondering about this, if you can change your race, does that also mess with all of your stats that you currently have, or does it not affect them like it does when creating a brand new charatcter? (in other words do the basic stats you started with change to the new race you've selected instead).

I suppose if you have a very feminine/masculine name it would be a bit strange to switch from male to female or vise versa without the name change. But I've kinda always seen the potion as like, edit the appearance of the gender you already have. But that's cuz I personally wouldn't change a character that I've started as one gender into another half way through I guess.
