Please help: How to filter target to exclude minions?

With the high population of players as well as their minions, it is sometimes very difficult to select NPC, Retainer Summoning Bell, or even Mining spot while I'm out there mining. F12 doesn't work sometimes, especially when a minion stands in the way or too close to the object.

Is there a way to make F12 not target a minion?

Or is there a way to make me able to cycle through targets without minions included in the cycling?

I have checked my click filter and saw that minion is already excluded.

I have also checked target filter settings and unselected the minion (on the left, because it was already off on the right).

But when I hit NUM4 or NUM6 button to cycle through visible targets, my cursor would still go over the minions.

Can anyone help me with the settings in order to make it so people's minions won't be in the way anymore? I really can't make head or tail with these settings (pics above). Because what I thought it should do, it is not doing it.

Maybe I am not using these configs correctly. If anyone can explain how to manipulate these for me, or what these do, or if you can give me a link to an existing guide to config targeting and target cycling, I would really appreciate it.

Nope, I am having problem with the real minions. Strangely, my target cycling is skipping people's summons (which makes me very happy lol). So now its only the minions that are in the way.

Yeah seen it myself that it still keeps targeting pets and minions. They really need to fix this. It's probably just an oversight in the filtering code.

I use the mouse to target stuff and with this setting I can't target them anymore. I am not sure if it will work with your keybind, but go in character configuration > display name settings > npc, and at the bottom there is 'minion' set it to 'never'. Hope this help!

Thank you, Porin. While with your settings, I can still target minions and the target cycling still include them, it decreases the probability of me accidentally targeting minions. Your trick will also make it easier for me to use mouse to click on NPC or the object I want.
