    Lets Bring The Legends Back

Do you remember when you had to do 6-18 man groups to kill HNMs.
When even after some degree of preparation you would fail to kill it.
When Players like AVESTA managed to SOLO such HNMs because of great skill and knowledge of the game.

Bring back the opportunity to make such feats. Where is the glory in killing stuff that can be killed with little to no preparation at all with few to non existent skill.

This may sound bad for the casual player base, but if you get everything on a whim you are just a lazy bastard that complain cause you want more

The things I feels the most proud of my 8 years playing FFXI
I soloed Seiryuu, Gration, Cactrot Rapido with an Elvaan RDM!

I Agree make the necessary changes to make the game more enjoyable but also please put a challenge in it where people be them casual or hardcore can get the item but where they need to KNOW WHAT THE ???? THEY ARE DOING not just smashing buttons

In FFXI some players had fans. I was a fan of some of those players. If I saw one of them I'd literally follow them down into the dungeon just to see what they were up to. I liked watching their videos.

This sort of thing is exciting, and knowing that if you're very good there's a chance you could become one of these players is also exciting. I support this kind of difficulty level.

It's not JUST challenge, though. It's also making sure that players have the opportunity to overcome these.

A random party of players should be able to accomplish things slowly and with great difficulty. A seasoned group of friends using well-orchestrated tactics should be able to breeze through things. That difference should be based on having meaningful decisions to make in a situation.

The same should be true of tackling some of the game's other challenges like NMs, HNMs etc.

agreed i feel that the stigma that is Casual and Hardcore have attachments like:

Casual = I want easy content
Hardcore = I want hard content

    Which are both completely false.

Its the person playing the game that decides how difficult they want their game experience not the lable that tells you how much they can play. My life dictates that i can only be a casual player yet i pray everyday for a challenge like what i used to receive from FF XI.

As long as its not 24 hour + spawn nms i wouldn't mind that would be fun.

This is exactly how it is. Both Hardcore/Casuals just want a challenge. There is only a small niche group for both that try to say otherwise.

    Hardcore(niche group): Give me timesinks!
Casual(niche group): Give me my [I WIN Button]!

The only difference between the main groups are...

    Hardcore(main group):More time
    Casual(main group): Less time

You can easily add content to keep both of the main groups happy(without leaving one of them out).

Great, another thread that is dedicated to widening the gap between the "hardcore" and "casual" player in this community. Just what this game needs.

Unitil they add some means of having more than 8 people in a party, it would be illogical to create an NM that needs 15 people.
Rdm being able to solo NMs, had a lot to do with the job skills available to rdm. But, yes it is fun to low man, or solo things other people think are impossible. However.... if they build something you can solo, chances are a team should be able to murder it, unless your job/gear creates some unfair unforseen advantage.

Anyhow a number of people would like challenging content, in all honesty you have to remember they havent added much content to this game. I rem in my collectors edition manual, they had some designs of behemoth, then we also have avatars like titan with designs created already. Basically they have stuff that they are not putting out there yet, and im sure it includes huge powerful fights, that we probably are not even the right level to fight yet (keep in mind though you think of 50 as endgame, it was only meant to be the initial cap, theres level 84 monsters just walking around on the overworld maps)

Basically they got legends, probably already created in thier labs, they just arent ready to put them out yet, for whatever reasons they ve come up with. much like our level cap increases.

Thing is you are representing it the right way, a challenge in the event be it tough mobs or interesting fight mechanics.

Where as most people, who refer to Hardcore think Relics, hard to get and very time consuming, much of which a casual is forced never to experience.
