Duty finder is a disaster

Normally I don't queue up using the DF unless I absolutely have to because I like to run stuff with friends but on occasion I have utilized it. Unfortunately, out of the two times I have used it with all random people the parties have been a complete disaster in which I was forced to leave the group.

What has serious happened to the final fantasy community that I have grown up loving? This attitude in the DF is just pure awful... I don't see how anyone can possibly use this and even begin to enjoy it.. its just filled with hatred and unkindness. This is truly a sad feature of the game that is unusable IMO because of the people that are in it. so sad.. /rant..

He's 50. You're not. Low level instances in this game haven't been all that challenging yet. Higher level/max level content tends to be more challenging and players in that tier tend to be less forgiving and more demanding. They figure that by 50 you should know how to play and know content. The know content thing is kind of silly since you need to DO content to know it. The know how to play thing is a reasonable expectation.


Pugs are pugs - you're gonna get a variety. For best results - don't pug. Make friends or group with LS/FC. Good groups don't just get handed to you. Be a good player (both in terms of ability and likeability) and find some regulars to do things with. (the OP says this is how they usually roll).

But there's never anything wrong with people that complain about PuGs! If you complain about other members of the group, it makes you automatically flawless.

I don't cuss people out. I'm kind, polite, and I try to be helpful and informative if I know the stuff. Its not me that people seem to have the problem with. Its others in my group that seem to not want to get along with each other. It costs the whole group because of it. Its just childish nonsense.. I don't get it..

Ah, believe it or not, it may still be you. There is how we perceive ourselves, and then there is how others perceive us. While you may think you are being; kind, polite, and helpful. You may be coming off as overbearing, sanctimonious, like a "know-it-all". Have someone you trust come along with you on a run and ask them for an honest opinion of your behavior. It can be enlightening.

Personally maybe 10% of the parties I've been in were actually enjoyable. The rest I wanted to drop but didn't cause It's not how I roll.

problem is not the duty finder its just a tool if you want to use it or not.

its the people bringing down the community, the DF is not the one calling you names or QQ then drop party.
