What is the deal with Need?

I have been through 5 dungeons now and have NEVER been able to select Need. Even if I am the ONLY person who can wear it in the group. I am playing on the PS3 and wondering if I am glitched?

Also, how the hell does greed work? Because I just ran a dungeon and only ONE person got EVERY single item. Even ones that only I could equip (in which it would not let me select need, only greed).

Have you checked your inventory for said items? The drops from dungeons are unique and you can only have one on you at any given time.

Another thing. If your main class is, say, Archer, and you've got an equal level Lancer, and you're playing on your Lancer and Archer stuff drops, you're not gonna be able to need on them. Just sayin'.

I dont have any of the items that I went for, and for example I am currently playing a Gladiator. There was different armors that were for Gladiator and it would never let me select Need. So someone else from a magic class got the item instead.

Sounds strange.

However, as you're playing on the PS3 with people playing on the PC, there could be a bug i guess.

Have you tried contacting support, or posted in the bug forum? Posting in the right forum could get you the help you need a bit faster, or at least that's how it should be.

Oh and finally. Check the labels on the gear. If any red text is on it, that means you can't use it thus there'll be no active need button. Not saying you don't already know it, but just incase

I see the need button whenever my current class can equip the item.
By the way, I'm pretty certain we can see loots awaiting somewhere beside in the chest itself, but I didn't find where yet. Anyone knows?

I have been able to select need on the appropriate items for my lancer. although sometimes for armor that is not class specific the need button does not appear even tho it may outclass my current "class" equipment. My guess is for glad it would have to be either your main weapon or only glad or mrd equipment. Disciple of war generic equipment would not be considered a need item since many classes can use it.

Are these drops generic Disciple of War items? If so, they are reserved for Archer/Lancer/Pug. Gladiators/Paladin and Marauders/Warriors have gear specifically for them.

To add to this a little, the scale mail class armor that war/pld/drg can all wear only war/pld can need it. Aetherial jewelry that has str only dps can need and vit only tanks.
