why fix something that's not broken?

This is the dumbest thing anyone could ever say. Just because something is functional doesn't mean it can't be done much better. This game needs to be better than XI, and that means doing things that "worked" differently. XI was no perfect game, in fact it was flawed to the core. There is so much to improve and change to create a better game it's a bit sad.

It's not better it trying to be something it not trying to be more of a wow game then anything. This is why FFXIV would fail they said that want final fantasy to be something away from other mmo so far it reminding me a lot like other mmo.

even if this is to help casual don't even matter casual are not baby they just can't play long hours. even casual players try to get best item in game and want a fun hard game.

wow casual want everything handed to them even the players that no life it.

I don't know how FFXIV going to be later with any more mmo in the market blizzard new MMO would be out by the time FFXIV get it's first expansion pack. Even if FFXIV is not trying to be like wow it sure look like it i see when they add the new battle system and class system to see if i even should stay playing this mmo i hope that some of the stuff tanaka said would be added later to this game by yoshi-p.

I do! IMO FFXIV is better than FFXI in every aspect except amount of content. It just need a few more tweaks, just like FFXI also is still receiving even after 8 years.
