When they 1st implemented them I was hopping they would be on the roads and aggro.
I vote to make them aggressive.
Also for the Gob airman thingy, they were some in ffxi:

Might as well bring them here too.
just imagine how sly the goblin airman could be.
balloons, parachutes, and bomb tosses
The lore in FFXIV is a lot different than it was in FFXI - if we're trying to form an unstable alliance with the tribes instead of wipe them off the face of the planet, why would they aggro?
I, too, am used to twitchier goblins, but to me, in FFXIV, they just seem like nomadic traders. None of them are even wearing armor, unlike their battle-ready FFXI counterparts.
I don't care if they aggro or not, really, I'm just saying -- to me, it doesn't entirely add up that trader nomads from a society we want to ally with against the Garlean Empire would be all in your face with weapons.

There are still other beast tribe mobs who are agro. The Ixtal are one of them.
gobs are in XIV?! =D sweet.
Yes I think the whole entire mob aggro system needs to be redone. There is no danger when exploring (well so little that it becomes not a problem), mobs need to be like XI. Im for a new game but when you run around mobs (especially if you get really close) they should react. They should
- run in fear
- travel towards you (when in really close, engage)
- link with other mobs around and engage
- follow you until you out of range (and some might link with other mobs)
- some may just stay idle and only engage when a spell is cast or certain spells like healing
- groups of creatures together should all engage if in range of the initial attack (all lady bugs in range should aggro and attack me if I decide to attack one lady bug that is in range of other lady bugs)
I want danger when roaming the lands. I feel like im in a little cozy heavenly land with cute creatures that want to cuddle. Walking endlessly by these creatures that do not react what so ever in any way until you engage is just plain ol stupid. Sure you got your odd ball creature that reacts like this but more if not all need to.

I think some should be and some shouldn't, if they do make them aggressive having area's tightly packed with goblins would need to be addressed.
I'd also like to see lower level gobs running around lower level zones... And I think it could be a mix of aggro... I like the idea of some gobs being friendly, and others not being so, but that might be confusing to players.
