Getting access to mounts

so, I got the collectors edition and have a 'cat thingy' as a mount, and now i am level 10 and have access to chocobos I want to use my mount.


how do I get access to my cat mount as every time i try to use it it will not let me?

is there a quest that enables me to use it? or a certain level I have to be?

You need to have done the level 20 main story quest and enlist in a grand company. Then save up seals for your GC chocobo. Then you can use all your mounts

ah so i need to get the chocobo to be able to use my cat mount that i have from the collectors edition?

That's correct . Once you join your respective GC. Fates are a fast way to make seals
