I have been getting 90000 every 1-5 minutes for an hour. Unfortunately, it is rendering the game practically unplayable. I hope this gets resolved since it has been happening for three straight days now.
RCN in NYC.
Im getting this too. Error 90000 is back. It must be server that are unstable because of too many concurrent users, now that they have upped it
Yea, I'm still getting this in dungeons on occasion.
Same, NYC on RCN but it's not ISP related. I'm an IT consultant and I tried playing the game from my office 100Mb/100Mb, 5m ping, 3rd Gear Networks ISP and I'm having the same issue. I tried from a few of my clients who all have different ISPs and I'm having the same issue. Giant lag spikes, sometimes its stuck for 20-30seconds and 90k error every 5 minutes. It has been like this pretty much since the "fix".
I'm on Behemoth server. I have other friends that live in NYC on the same server and they're not getting errors.
OK awesome! And how frustrating is it when your friends aren't having the same issue? Answer: SO FRUSTRATING.Same, NYC on RCN but it's not ISP related. This has just been a temporary fix for me and I don't know if in an hour or longer it might occur again, but unplugging my router for one minute and then pressing the reset button with a needle has alleviated the problem for the moment.
Once again my ISP is Verizon and I will post whether or not 90k occurs again at any point as soon as it occurs.
EDIT: Of course the other fix may be that so many people are having the problem that not many are on now and concurrent users being down has solved the issue. Noticed very few people out here with me when the norm is much greater. Only seeing about 3-4 people a zone.

I'm having the same problems. The game was working just fine. Till when I logged in this morning.Same, NYC on RCN but it's not ISP related. I got some very bad lag spikes. My actions will not trigger till after 20-30 seconds and see everyone appear and move in like as if i was forwarding a video.
My computer is not having any other problems and my internet is also working. I can open any web page fast and watch youtube videos with no problems. Just FFXIV client is loading up slow and once I'm in the game feels really laggy even with having 12-28FPS then I get disconnected with error 90000 or error 20002 or something.
I have already tried this link devs posted
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/72704-Windows-Disconnection-Error-Code-2002
I dont see any improvements. i being at it for 3 hours now.

Happening to me, every time I've logged in for the last 3 hours or so (On Behemoth), I've been kicked off with a 90000 error message within a minute of logging on. What's more annoying is my brother playing on Odin has no problems what so ever, he's also on the same internet connection.

I've been stricken with this issue since the Sept 3rd maintenance, which further compounds the already present-since-launch issue of Action lag, where combat skills have a hard time catching up to what I'm doing. As someone else before brilliantly put:
I want to play this game, I really do. I like it, I like the job system, but right now I'm just wasting my time. Every third action I do, whether it be mining or crafting or combat, seems to trigger one of these lag spikes which, more often than not, leads to my disconnection. I hope this issue will get resolved soon before I go into withdrawal ;_;When the issue manifests, communication with the server seems to stop. Any characters around you will freeze in place, any mobs will freeze in place. Of course, you can still move around (client-side), and if you're in combat you can continue to cast -- but the mob's HP will not decrease and debuff/DoT icons won't appear, etc.
After 5-10 seconds, one of two things will occur. Either A) Everything will "catch up", with damage numbers appearing everywhere and all action continuing normally, or B) You'll get error 90000 and be DC'd. Essentially, communication between the client and server appears momentarily interrupted, and things either catch up and clear up, or you get booted.
Please address, as leves instantly fail when you get 90000'd (draining one of your attempts), and I'm afraid to set foot in a dungeon like this. The issue first appeared (for me) following the big maintenance on Tuesday. Prior to that (over the weekend, and during the beta) it never occurred.
Usual things like network connectivity on this side have all checked out OK. Connections everywhere else remain up, no packet loss.
