exploiting means taking advantage of a situation = exploit because it exceeds the games expectations and its a flawed mechanic that wasn't thaught through that people are abusing

The FATE event Dark Devices is being used to effectively power level players by intentionally avoiding completing the objective and farming the endlessly spawning monsters that are not relevant to the completion of the FATE.

This can lead to many problems down the line if it is allowed to continue for one having a massive playerbase of all capped individuals will lead to several issues with content development rates and quality.

finally a good legit player that is not afraid to speak the truth, very accurate as well. you will mostl ikely get heavily trolled by people that want to continue to abuse this problem so they can lvl to 50 insanely fast.

The fact of making use of a situation to gain unfair advantage for oneself is by definition exploiting...

By that same logic the counterpoint for AK speedruns was ok because hey "In 1.0 you had to do it that way for Darkhold its not an exploit" but the design team after the fact reacted. Asking for proof when you know none exists and not accepting examples of similar situations is just as bad as "shut up noob!" so you should save the char count. My only issue with is a person has to stop for the entire time slot just to get the achievement and if they are completly capable of finishing the fate solo they are attacked. So a person commiting in a selfish venture attacks another person also completing a selfish venture.

Here's the general idea of the real mindset of these players:

I kill them because I am level 50 and don't care about experience points. I am doing the fate for the Seals and you poor Fate Grinders are wasting my time to quickly gather an easy 1k seals because you want to farm some crappy mobs. I will continue to burn down every lamb I see in that fate and laugh at all the non 50s who complain about it. Go run a friggen dungeon, Aurum Vale is an easy 80k-100k xp.

I just do it as intended by the FATE. If someone in shout chat asks NICELY, I might acquiesce. If someone in shout chat starts immediately by writing "OMG DON'T KILL THE LAMBS, N00BZ!", I kill the lambs while savouring every second of it.

It's funny to see how upset people get over a video game therefore I will kill the lambs and then laugh at them.

I complete the FATE because of your first point. I'm 50 and want seals. But more than that, I do the FATE as it was meant to be completed. If it wants me to kill lambs, that's what I do. All the death threats I get for completing a FATE the way it was supposed to be completed just makes me laugh.

And that is precisely the problem with people like you. There are numerous FATEs in that zone. The one FATE where 99% of the population wants to do something different by grinding it out, and yet you go in, fully knowing what you're doing is going to anger everyone, and you embrace it because you're not polite enough to let other players have what they want too. That is why we blacklist Lamb killers. We do it because players who willingly kill Lambs with full knowledge that no one wants them to die are basically players who only care about themselves.


So tell me, would you want to party with someone in the future who's known to put himself first? Wouldn't you get mad at the guy who abandons a dungeon run immediately after he got the item he needed? Wouldn't you get pissed at the guy in your FC who lots on the item that was your turn to get, because he needed it too but didn't care about anything the rest of your FC said?

That is why we blacklist Lamb killers. They're either trolls or they don't care about anyone else but themselves, and who wants to ever deal with that? Not many. Respect fellow players and respect will be given back. Show no respect and no respect will be given back. I am now a level 50, and if I wanted to farm GC seals, I'd still let Dark Devices play out. It's the respectful thing to do.

So hold on, you're pissed at me because I complete the FATE the way the developers intended and complete the FATE? Really? I do all the FATEs that spawn. You sound like one of the other butthurt people that are angry their little "exploit" is known.

Do what others have said: dungeons. It's much better EXP and cash.

I did this FATE for the first time yesterday. I got into the zone and saw this FATE up, so I ran in and tried to attack what I could. I saw the Lambs were part of the FATE so I killed one. As soon as I did that, I was instantly bombarded with tells and shouts, which were extremely disrespectful and rude. I haven't experienced the FATE before, and to get yelled at for not knowing what was going on shows that many of you who farm that FATE do not respect fellow players at all either. If someone would have whispered to me politely what was going on, I would have happily stopped and been on board with what was going on. If those FATE farmers want people to stop killing the Lambs, then they need to show respect as well, instead of yelling at people who don't know what others are wanting to do. This is what causes others to kill the Lambs out of spite.
