Basic Item Level Requirements for Dungeons?

Could we get some basic item level requirements for dungeons? I'm thinking, like, really basic. As in 'all your items must be level 45+ to enter amdapor keep' kind of basic. It might help cut down on people who just hit 50, ignore their gear, and dive right into dungeons, wondering why they wipe all the time. >.>;

Players need to calm down about gear. Its not that huge of a deal for this place. The place is easy. What you're doing is dieing to mechanics and blaming gear.

I did all the fights in there with shitty l30 accessories, still did +120DPS.

It should maybe require a I50 weapon, but thats all.

Game should just have a votekick so you can kick them and not get somebody so bad in, if you dont do a combined 250dps between your tank and 2 DPS, its probably not going to be enough to complete the dungeon.

The only time thus far I've really wanted a item level requirement is for Garuda (hard). So many people in AF... x.x

Considering some of the fights are clearly gear/dps checks, I sort of have to agree with the op. Not necessarily restrict you, but at least warn the person that they shouldn't be going there yet. Had two "fresh" DDs in Amdapor keep, they did fairly well with tactics but just couldn't put out enough DPS. They were in AF and the rest were unmelded whites, some under L40.

Also, finding another group is all well and good, but if you use Duty Finder and leave first, you have to wait 15 minutes to try again. So you effectively get punished because others are there too early.

Why play an MMO? because you are playing with many other people who have different playing styles and different levels of ability and understanding. That should be the assumption going into a game like this. If everyone was a perfect player it would be pretty boring because there would be no real challenge. Nobodies life is going to be effected if they fail to clear a dungeon in ARR. It's meant to be fun. I have never been in a dungeon with random players yet, where anyone asked anyone else what their playing style and abilities are before forging ahead. Maybe that would be a good idea.

Or play single player games. At least then you always get what you expect.

With the damage formula in this game i dont think Weapon plays that much role in your dmg does it? I mean For example from a lv40 wep to lv45 wep you only get like, what? 2-5 more Physical/Magic Attack?

Base damage on your weapons actually is the biggest modifier to your damage, what appears to be a small increase will move your baseline damage as a while up a good notch. This is why people will pay for those HQ's on the lvl 50 items as the base damage is up there with better weapons.
