Problem With Story Quest Not Showing Up.

I haven't received a story quest since I was a level 15 Thaumaturge. I am now a lvl 16 Thaumaturge, lvl, 20 Arcanist, and a lvl 19 Weaver and I have yet to find any story quest. The last completed quest in my journal is The Ul'dahn Envoy. Based on a guide I found online, my next story quest is supposed to be Call of the Sea, but it's not showing up on my map. I talked to the issuing NPC, but I still can't get the quest to start. I tried looking under "Recommendations" but only the duties that I have already done pop up. I have no active quest or key items in my inventory so I know I didn't miss anything.

try to do your job classes quest up to lvl 10 i actually got them done around lvl 16

So you did the envoy quest and visited all the cities, talking to everyone? For the Call of the Sea quest, for me it was to return to Limsa Lominsa at the drowning wrench. I don't know if it was that particular place becuase my home city was Limsa, or if that is where the quest needs to start, but you may want to check this city, and your original home hub. Only once have I ever needed to search for the next conection to the story quests so it's odd your floating in limbo unless you didn't pick it up when originally offered and are now going back to look for it.

I did my class quest up to level 15. I did all story quest so far, but the next one just isn't showing up. I already talked to Bartholomew and Baderon, but they say nothing other than there typical NPC speech. I already traveled to the three main cities and most of the sounding areas (thats how I got up to level 20 as a Arcanist). There are no markers on the map and nothing is showing up for me in recommendations.

Sorry to double post but I found out what was wrong. I was looking in the wrong city. Got this info from another website and will post it here for anyone else having the same problem:

"The NPC that issues this is always in the last city you visit. So if you started in Ul'dah you have to find the Serpent Officer at Nophica's Altar in Gridania."
