Just wondering where people have been allocating the bonus attribute points as a pugilist/monk. Is dumping every point into strength the best, or are dex and vit better options?

Dex is worthless for you, Vit is ok, but pretty sure 99.9% of Monks are just dumping all their points into STR until otherwise. You can buy an item that lets you redo the points so its not permanent.
Thanks, normally don't think of monks as str based fighters, too much D&D I suppose. Wanted to make sure though before I allocated points though since I was seeing str on a lot of their gear and just wanted to confirm it.
If you mouse over the attributes it tells you exactly what they do. Str is for damage for all melee classes while Dex is for ranged damage(Archers/Brd) and Parry/Block chance
Personally, i throw a point into VIT for every 3 or 4 STR, depending on how hard enemies are hitting me. As someone in my FC says, you can't deal damage if you're dead. It isn't much of an increase, but it still helps, lol.
Ok dex is not worthless to you... i've been doing dex and str. I think now it's at 5 dex and 5 str but would probably go up on str more now and way less on dex. Dex ingame mechanics DOES help you dodge the enemies attack, and yes i know it doesn't say anything.. but trust me it helps. If you want to test the secret mechanic-why else would we have a dodge skill if we barely dodge(?)-than do dex and str on monk and than switch to another class like say lancer and do the same lvl though don't do any dex. So since in theory the in game attribution mechanics doesn't say dodge but I've noticed that with 5 dodge, I can basially proc my dodge ability on my monk about every 3 times in a battle.. vs. maybe once on my lancer.
So i've been doing dex and str but will cap more on str starting from now and also for my gear i've been doing crit+ since I want to dodge and crit highly.

i said DODGE not CRIT. I'm getting crit from gear...
Try it and see for yourself. Just because the tooltip itself doesn't list it doesn't mean it doesn't have any ingame value as a hidden mechanic. If you proc the same dodge abilities on your pug/monk and lancer with different stats than come and tell me it doesn't do anything, if not and your pug/monk does dodge more-than please stop spreading what you think is right..
Have you even remotely tested this btw or are you just spouting out what you found on the internet? Let me know when you do.
that's the tooltip description, parry doesn't help but being able to dodge about 3 times in a battle if it even lasts that long is actually really good vs. maybe once. Tested this on a pug/monk and switch to lancer.
And if you can justify by saying it's all "class" based than please do explain, and if you say hidden ingame mechanics and who's to say dex does not have any hidden ingame mechanics? The class base itself is hard as stats are individual for each char, and gear gives stats. All the different gear really do is give you a different label and different skills..
