If materia gear is sellable, I will do all BS and GS inlays for Wutai for free

I don't think it's right for crafters to get to force their spam down other people's throats by making all gear consumable, then get to turn around and charge whatever they want for materia'd gear of the best combinations too.

If a system comes to pass where battlers have to pay crafters to start making materia, then have to pay crafters to make something with that materia, then have to pay the crafter back whatever the battler charged the crafter for the materia, and then some for the crafter's "skills" and then some for the crafter's combinations...no.

Not gonna happen on MY server. I'll do it all for free. Every single one of you.

Battlers, you own the economic potential of materia.
Gatherers, you own the economic potential of catalysts.
Crafters, you already have your reward. People actually buy your crab bow **** now.

This is not a debate, this is a guarantee! YOU SHALL NOT PASS, CRAFTERS!

    Power to the miners.
    Power to the pugilist.

    O_o Isn't that the idea?

DoW and DoM jobs farm, for junk, craft it and/or sell it
DoL gather some more junk, craft it and/or sell it
DoH craft out that junk, buy it, craft it, and/or sell it
its called an "economy", it work just like R/L, if you are lazy, then you pay for it, if you are broke and/or bored then you do it yourself, and hope to make a profit of the final product.

Nah in the proposed system crafters double dip their balls into the profit pool created by the new system. The first time they dip is when all their backlogged crab bow garbage mounds start to move on the market because people are turning them into materia. Not only will crafters get to sell their spammed garbage, but they'll probably raise their prices on it now that it's a consumable.

The second time they dip is when they materia weapons and put them up for profit sales. Whatever gil they spent on catalyst or materia to make that weapon, they'll just add that to the cost to the gear and take back the gil they just gave some DoL or DoW from that discipline. With a markup for their time and rarity of combination of course.

If they don't make materia'ing a gear something performed by a NPC, I'll just be the NPC for everyone.

I don't understand the system too well, but taking from what you've laid down I am completely down to follow your example. As a crafter, I already refuse to sell anything over 2mil, and have sold gear I've bought for 20-80% less.

People get far too overboard and selfish, they neglect the ultimate point of an economy, the customers. Not the quick wealth.

once gear has materia on it, it can no longer be sold in the open market. read back a couple months this was yoshi's way of making it worth it actually producing gear.
current system something is crafted, worn then sold eliminating the need to craft more. the new system, once materia is attached you have to npc, or create back into materia yourself.... just like enchanting in wow.

This was Yoshida's initial thought, which was correct.
They have since reneg'd on that. Materia gear will officially be sellable.

That means it's a double inlay market. That is where 90% of the profit will immediately shift, and nothing else will be worth anything. In that system, crafters compound profits to the point where they completely own the system.

They can charge people whatever they want because without them no one gets materia. Then they can charge whatever they want again because they spam grind double inlays onto weapons.

The final step, double inlaying gear with a catalyst and materia, should be a process that any discipline can do because it would be completely unfair to give it to any one discipline.

If this isn't fixed, crafters will lowball the other disciplines and hold the system for ransom.

we all know how markets work w/ supply and demand, remember crab bow +1 sold for like 2 mil+ now they sell for about 100k, with time, comes deflation, its others laziness and/or "i got to have that now" that causes prices to sky rocket, in due time, they will fall

Well there won't be due time. I'll do as many weapons and tools for free as I get orders for if people bring the mats to me. There ain't gonna be 35 million gil double inlay weapons and tools on the market when I'm the materia inlay NPC. At least not for BSM and GSM.

The whole server's a 50 BSM and GSM as far as I'm concerned. All they have to do is talk to me.
