    Incentive for Group Play

    Hi everyone.

    Maybe this idea has been posted or maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

    I feel that everything seems to be gear toward solo play.

    What I'd like to see is a bonus for group play outside of fates. Something like a exp chain bonus system.

    My idea is pretty simply. A group that fights mobs x levels higher then the highest level party member will trigger a exp chain event where if they kill x number of mobs within the time frame they will get x bonus exp (ie equal to the amount a fate would give at that level) and if they win it'll trigger again with a shorter timer but for a greater reward and so on until chain is broken then you start at chain 1 again.

    I feel this would be a great alternative for ppl who have completed all quests and want to party and actually work as a group to win rather then running around to fates and pressing 1 button.

    I play MMOs for the group experience so I hope something gets changed or added.

    There is already an XP chain system that grants bonus XP when you kill equal or higher level mobs in succession. The bonus grows the more mobs you kill within the timer, which by default is displayed at the bottom of the screen that tells you how long the chain has left. I don't disagree with your point though. I feel like the game has guided me towards soloing to cap which has trained me how to survive solo and not how to function in a group. Unfortunately this means that when I grouped with a BLM for the first time at level 38 or 39 I didn't know how to react and caused mad noobness and a wipe. I would like to see some better training or incentive to group so I'm not a liability by the time I hit 50.

    Another idea with an "exp mode" where a group an fight waves of enemies (unending until party decides to call it quits) for bonus exp.

    Basically I'm looking for a method where I can sit down and really grind exp for a few hours. currently the trend is to do fates but there are times when there is no fates in the area you are in and there is down time walking between fates.

    I know this isn't FFXI but coming from FFXI, The vanilla exp pt from ffxi could easily grind exp in a much smoother unbroken method then FFXIV and even Fields of Valor which i didn't like so much were still less disjointed then fate grinding.

    oh as dps dungeon = once every hour so its not a valid option to grind exp (and i feel dungeons should be more loot finder then exp parties) either especially since they have an pre-determined end
